damm i thought i was doing ok, im paying 356 a month for 2 cars full coverage. 06 350z and 07 toyota camry. ummmmmm yea i may have to reevaluate my situation lol.
All of you guys, how old are you? And are these policies under your or your parents names? Because I'll be honest, my car is insured on my dad's policy and I have to pay $1150 every 6 months. I'll be 25 next year, so hopefully by then I'll get some decent quotes for my own coverage. Because I simply cannot justify paying $3000 every six month policy term, that is f*cking ludicrous.
It's really annoying not having the insurance on my name. I just want to call insurance companies up and tell them to stop being morons and give me an f-ing normal rate based on looking at my driver's license. How "25" is some sort of magical number is beyond me, I swear. My license is as clean as a whistle and so is my driving record, in general (knock on wood).
I am 27 and the Z is the third car under my name on the bill. But, I have had my own insurance since I was 17, so I was paying astronomical rates like most of the other young'uns. All in all, I had to put in work.
The longer you have had insurance IN YOUR OWN NAME the lower rates will go. If you have been on your parents insurance with a perfect record or have been on your own insurance wiht a perfect record. The same coverage will cost less for the person that has had it in their name longer. I dont know why this is but its true for some reason.

I agree with you but its all about statistics bro. Most drivers who are involved in accidents are under 25. Its like the same thing with the drinking age, why is it 21. When it was 18 everyone during that time blew it for the future generations and it was raised. Maybe in the near future if all of us under 25 keep good records theyd lower it... I know its wishful thinking lol
Love to hear a fellow State Farmer hooked you up. Keep in mind that no one will get the same price you did. It's based off a lot of different variables.
