I just got here from down south and need input on what I should do for the winter. My Z is my daily driver. Selling is not an option, nor is buying a POS.
Obviously, since I am from Texas I have no idea what the best snow tires would be, so any information you could give me would be helpful. Thanks.

Bridgestone blizzaks always have done it for me in the past, or you can get dunlop winter sports, both good tires. Whatever is at a good price works too, that's what I will be getting this year, one of those two. Check out some ratings and reviews on tirerack and google to see what is best for you.

+1 Blizzak M3's are amazing. Also get a narrower tire then stock to help cut through the snow. Dry performance is poop, but thats to be expected. Welcome to the snow belt lol. Watch this secton of the forum, lots of meets, BBQ's, Rallies. See ya

What about getting the Waxoyl treatment or any other rust prevention?
Haven't driven in snow since I was in West Texas, and even then we only got maybe 1 or 2 inches a year.

Appreciate the input. I look forward to going to some of the meets/events and getting to know some people around here, especially some good looking women.

I am working out of Providence, but commuting from Whitinsville, MA. I am currently looking at places around Cranston, Cumberland, N. Smithfield, Newport, and Johnston areas. If you have any ideas on where to get an apartment, let me know. I like the mill style apartments (ashton mill, halstead mills).

well you could still live in MA, the Fall River area isn't to bad thats about 25mins SE of Providence or so.... just an idea. The downfall is still having to pay twice the taxes

That is exactly what I am trying to stay away from. Especially coming from a state with no income tax to state(s) that have them is not easy to adjust to.

I just want an upscale place where my car won't get broken into with a nice fitness facility.
