Default Anyone sign up for the Verizon Triple play?

They are offering a free netbook! and the only reason i actually plan on switching to Verizon is that my monthly bill will be cheaper by a good $30 a month for the same if not better service from Time Warner.

Any comments?

I had FiOS when I lived in Boston.
It is far better than any of the other cable companies I have seen.

I've had Comcast, RCN and ***.

Yes the picture is better but it is the little things that made a big difference to me. Their DVR has a far superior menu system and their guide seems to be far more accurate than the others. On Comcast, more often than not, a show set to record only new will record every repeat that comes on. Verizon has New/Repeat but also adds a time slot into the mix, so you won't get 20 shows from a marathon W/E that record. You will get one at most.

Another thing that Verizon does better with their menu is Favorites.
On Comcast, if you set a channel as favorite, all you can do is press the favorite button flip, in numerical order, through the list of favorites, one at a time. On Verizon, you hit the guide and can view only Favorite channels right in the guide. You can do the same for HD channels only.

There are many things like the above that make the experience much better.

Verizon gets my vote.

PS. I got 250.00 Gift Card to Best Buy(or a 19" LCD TV) when I signed up.

did you look at the offer carefully? i believe if you opt for the free notebook, your paying like an extra $20 a month so technically your paying for it. From what i remember the triple play is like $80 WITHOUT the notebook, but then if you opt for the notebook you get the same service with an addition of wifi WITH the notebook for $100. The last time i checked... lol correct me if im wrong..

I don't think its cuz is without the notebook. Its less because you pay the regular 39.99 phone service and the 19.99 internet which is only 1Mbps/386kbs which is whack.

FIOS has great service like Scott said but their billing department can suck it.
