Import Vs Domestic @ MIR November 9th
As the subject says, there will be Imports Vs Domestics at MIR this coming Nov 9th (Sunday) at MIR.. Maryland International Raceway.
I'll be meeting with my friends at Shift-DC and roll over there at roughly 8am (starts at 10, 1.5 hour drive from N.VA) If anyone in the area would like to go and drive with us, you're more than welcome.

I might roll, but I'm not quite sure yet. I was talking to a guy who was there last year and he said it was so packed that he only got like 2 runs in. And he was there like an hour before they opened. But I guess it's about more than just racing, the atmosphere should be awsome as well.
Ricky - you should run in the 13-13.99 class. You smoked me with that plenum and I've been running 13.80's consistantly at the track.

Still looking forward to next week! One question though, I've been to MIR before, and I know we just pay when we arrive. But since this is sorta an event, do we have to register or anything like that beforehand? Aight just wondering, thanks...

I was thinking this event was on a Saturday all this time. One of my co-workers set me straight, he'll be there with his prelude club. I'll definately be there, I'm hoping to get into the 13.60's with the crank pulley I'll be installing today.

I am going. ( not that any of you care)
Going to run the street renegade class. even though the whole event is biased towards the import. IT is why the import vs domestic ratio is very skewed.
Street renegade class. The first NA class a v-8 can run runs against 4 and 6 cyl cars with two power adders. range of the quick 16 was 10.80 to 11.6 last year.
They will not let v-8s or above run with more than one power adder.

I think it will be a cool car show though.

I'm sure there will be a lot of you f-body and stang guys there. What do they mean by power adders? I'm assuming FI(NOS,Turbo,S/C) and the like; Not things like exhaust and intake. Is this correct?

Yeah it was pretty cold and I only managed 2.4-2.2 60fts and 13.90's all day. I had zero traction with the stock potenzas. I did manage to make it to 2nd round eliminations in the Hybrid Modified class though. Too bad they wouldn't let us run each other Ricky, but you still got a respectable time in. Based on your trap speed your car can run 13.50's-13.60's easy. It was a cool event, but I might pass if it's that cold again next year.
