Do you know what they mean by tuning?? If I have the MODS that you have seen on my roadster do they mean they can tune the ECU to give more power?
So is it worth it for me for them to tune mine?
And should I have them check my exhaust and what not for leaks?
Let me know!

Hi Vic and Greg,
Thanks for the PMs, I heard from vic that xxTuning has 1 Borla True Duel in stock (for $750), since it was Greg's origional plan to get it that one has his name on it. Vic you said another can be "ordered" for $772 but does this mean that if I call tomorrow it can be at xxTuning in time for an install on Saterday? Just wondering because if this is the case i'd call tomorrow and i'll be there on Sat for the install, if not I can just get it done anytime and there would be no need for 2 trips down there..
On a side note I made it to the season finale import wars this past saterday. My first 2 runs were terrible, 1st had traction control on (shut car off and forgot to turn VDC back off) and got a 14.6@100.83
2nd run I got wheel hop so bad my car almost fell apart (never dropped PSi) and got another 14.6@100.23
then my last run because it was getting crazy busy was a 14.1@100.98 with a bad 2.3 60', I am happy with that run because I have had 60's as low as 2.047 (my 13.98 run) and that would now net me around a 13.85, a bit over a tenth improvement since last time I had been to the track with the old tranny and lower miles..
1 more quick thing, my G-Timer 2 was within .1 or better of my official slips for all 3 runs.. VERY accurate..

Vic, what time you plan on doing the lunch/cruise? I'm not sure if I want to get there so early because I'm not dynoing, but I would like if Steve or Jerry or whoever's there could take a look under the hood of my Z.

The tuning that Mike and I have in mind is adjusting the FMU to generate the optimum Air/Fuel mixture at each boost level.
However, you may still increase your hp slightly, by mods such as exhaust upgrade, headers, air-intake, etc…….but since you have the pro-charger in mind, that’s another story. Your, roadster will benefit from the pro-charger, considering that it is much heavier that our coupes.

I can't believe this thread is already three pages long! I emailed Eduardo and Eugene to see if I can catch a ride with them (if they can make it) as my car is still on it's vacation to Vegas and LA.
BTW Gerald, I don't think you will need to fear my car when I finally get it back. According to the receptionist at ATI, I'm pretty sure they ended up putting the same system (V1...) on my car as you have on yours (plus I'm just a little bit heavier...). This Monday I called up ATI looking for my car and the receptionist told me my car had just been loaded on the truck and was heading to Vegas. I mumbled something about a dyno and she goes "well I know that they only had time to dyno it once and it was 368 at the rear wheels". I thought that that was pretty cool that she knew that information!

I'm sure you can't wait to see and feel your car. When we go for our cruise, maybe you can jump in with Gerald so that you know what to expect. After riding in his car I'm sure the wait to jump into your car is going to kill you.

I think Gerald and Paul will be doing their's late morning but if we have a Borla install as well, we probably won't be heading out until early afternoon. There are tons of restaurants in the area so we won't starve while waiting there.

With the pro-charger, the extra weight will only contribute to stability, not rob the power.
It would be really nice to see most of you guys again before the freeze takes over.
Take the bus, if you have to......I want my Ogunquit pics, as I have an interesting angle for a poster I have in mind. BTW, the group shot can you download onto a CD of even email me; and where are Eugene's panoramic shots….HEL-LO
Best

How far is this meet from NYC? Maybe I'll caravan with Mike (SirMikel1)
However, we'll be at Raceway Park in NJ the next day (11-16-03). A busy weekend I guess

Cool. This looks like its going to be a great turnout. Is should be nice weather. For those wondering we can get other exhausts as well and all the Nismo parts available. I actually have the Tanabe Racing Medallion exhaust for the 350Z in stock also if someone wants to see this one also. Ill see ya guys later!!
Man, Victor, this meet is getting pretty big. I'm bumming that I can't make it.
$60 for 3 pulls is a great deal.
I sense that a lot of people will be leaving with their wallets a little bit lighter.

Roger: Thought you had another plan for the ride down ? You can always catch a ride with me if you need one. We are planning on meeting at the Mass Pike rest area again. Let's see if we can get a few more people from MA for the ride down there.
Psycho Craig: can you PM me your Nismo exhaust price (installed) please. I might be interested although there is a guy here in MA that is offering a great price.

I just left xxtuning with my new borla exhaust. Craig, thanks for a great install. I'll see you on the 15th where I hope to be ready for my 500 mile check up for the borla.
Craig showed me the Tanabe and it looks sweet but I had already settled on the borla after hearing Jeff's car.

I just want to mention that I originally put 11:00 AM as a start time but for those that want to do dyno runs, it would be best if you can make a little sooner.
Craig told me that he can do 12-15 dyno runs in a day provided everthing goes smoothly. He opens at 8:00 AM but his mechanics don't get in until 8:30 AM. To make it easier for everybody, I will start it off and have my dyno done first at 8:30 AM which means that they would be ready for the next run around 9:00 AM.
Craig, wants to leave the dyno's with tuning for last as these normally take about an hour.
One reminder, for those doing dyno runs that have locks on their rims, please have the lock key handy so that no time is lost going crazy trying to find it.
Looking forward to this event.

Just to let you know, Craig said he would honor the 750 price for the meet on the 15th so get in touch with him at 860-513-1051 to place your order. He will need a deposit to order since he is now out of stock (I got the last one
). He said he can get them in about 24 hours notice but don't delay because Saturday looks like it will be a busy day.
