Veterans Day
Since it is Veterans Day I would like to share a couple of poems and a letter with you.
Remember Our Veterans
Remember our Veterans every day,
and give a little prayer,
They are the ones you should thank,
for the freedom you now share.
Honor the memory of the ones who died,
they died for you and me.
And thank the Veterans who still live,
they all kept our country free.
A thank you doesn't seem like much,
but it's all that I can say,
My thoughts, my heart and feelings,
go out to you, each day.
Thank You So Much!

THE VETERAN
I saw him in the park, one day,
His legs had both been torn away
And in his chair, alone, he sat
In ragged coat and woolen hat.
Some shunned him as a sad disgrace
But when I'd seen that beaten face
I knew he sat there, just for me
That I might live in liberty.
For me, it was, he shed his tears
And forfeit all his youthful years
I saw there when I turned to go
The tallest man I'll ever know !

Wish You Were Here.
"For all the free people that still protest.
You’re welcome.
We protect you and you are protected by the best.
Your voice is strong and loud,
but who will fight for you?
No one standing in your crowd.
We are your fathers, brothers and sons,
wearing the boots and carrying guns.
We are the ones that leave all we own,
to make sure your future is carved in stone.
We are the ones who fight and die.
We might not be able to save the world,
Well, at least we try.
We walk the paths to where we are at,
and we want no choice other than that.
So when you rally your group to complain,
I take a look at the back of your brain.
In order for that flag you love to fly,
wars must be fought and young men must die.
We came here to fight for the ones we hold dear,
If that’s not respected, we would rather stay here.
So please stop yelling, put down your signs,
and pray for those behind enemy lines.
When the conflict is over and all is well,
be thankful that we chose to go through hell."

God Bless all our soldiers, for what they have done and what they will be asked to do.
