Default Long Island people?

I live in Suffolk County L.I. and always set up car meets, the more the merrier. I don't own a 350Z, but a Spa Yellow S2000. I am not here to flame like a child, i like all cars(well almost all). If anyone lives in L.I. and is interested in meeting up let me know. Jeff

Thumbs up Sounds Cool!

I'm here in Farmingdale. However, I'm planning to take my "Z" off the road real soon. My "Z" is slated to be removed from the road in mid-December and will NOT return until at least mid-April. I own other vehicles to provide the necessary transportation in the less than desirable weather. I'm referring to the 4 1/2 fun months that we who live in the Northeast area get to experience. We typically start with those rapidly dipping temperatures, into the extreme cold windy weather within the first festive 31 days of December. All we need after that is just a few freezing cold a days, that is usually followed by some frosty precipitation and you're looking at 3 to 4 inches of the unwanted white stuff. Soon after that, within hours of that snowfall, it becomes the slushy gray stuff. As you know, all of New York becomes awash with the annual dirty outdoor cocktail of filthy snow slush with a helping dosage of highway rock salt. The kind of salt that is designed to melt snow along with ruining just about EVERYTHING that it touches.
Such as:
the Trees, the Roads, the Sidewalks, our Shoes, our Clothes, our automobile windshields and their respective undercarriages, our pet's little feet, and Yes..........Brand New 350Zs.

So, ....... ya think maybe a Spring Car meet might be better?

I will surely be there for sure.

Big meets in Spring for sure, but i wouldn't mind some small winter ones when the roads are clear(if that ever occurs). I don't have a second car yet My car in snow=death
Anyone in L.I. have a 350 that is much faster than a stock one? Supercharged or turbo or N/A?

Actually, I plan to be in Huntington tomorrow, Tuesday; dropping my car off for service and picking it up later in the afternoon.

I am from Stamford, CT.

If you guys want we can have a little meet this sunday. I'll get a few of the S2000 guys as well. Nothing big, maybe 10-15 cars. The lot of my shop is big enough to hold 40+ cars if its empty. I hope the weather stays nice through the weekend. It is a detailing shop incase anyone is curious. I am a self-made hardworking young businessman, not some kid whose family money bought them a business (i am 23). We do hand washes, hand waxes, shampooing, compounding, polishing, armor all treatments, leather treatments, window tints, dent removal, rim repair. I am not trying to sell anyone anything, i love having car meets and now i have somewhere to have them where we won't get kicked out by security or cops or neighbors. I used to host meets at Roosevelt Field Mall and DPA till security and cops ended that What you guys think? Sunday 12 o'clock? Jeff

Thumbs up Sounds Okay To Me!

Jeff,

Where is your lot location that you are proposing for the upcoming 12:00 Sunday meeting? I am certainly more than willing to meet and greet the various car owners that help make everyone's 'ride' more invigorating! (Yup!)

Frank

630 New York Avenue is the address. It is one mile north of the train station on the right side. I don't have a sign yet I'll put my car in the street so everyone can see the turn in. I look forward to meeting you all. Jeff

Meet is a go! Were gonna have to keep the noise down for the neighbors sake. We can raise hell once we leave and go play around on a drive. So no spinning tires, no reving engines and no loud systems. If all goes well with no complaints from neighbors, during the summer we can have larger meets there. Jeff
