Default RT Tuning

Hey, not sure how many forum members are in the Philadelphia area, but I've got to say that RT Tuning is a bang up shop.

I called them this morning 10:00 a.m. to inquire about the HKS Hi-Power Catback system.

I was in the shop by 12:00 p.m. and out by 2:00 p.m. The exhaust sounds great and the work around it was fantastic.

Not only am I going to go back there for more, it'll probably be the big stuff next!

Not downing or doubting the shop at all as ive never been there and im sure they do good work but 2hrs to swap out an exhaust? wow, i put my same HKS system on by myself with jacks, no lift in roughly an hour with the same results. Glad u like it tho, awesome exhaust system. I Just moved to NY, I do my own work on my cars but I'll have to check these guys out sometime.

We also performed and oil change, removed his tow hitch and did a full courtesy check out of the car seeing how it was his first time at the shop. Its always good when you can do your own work, but make sure ya give us a chance on pricing or any tuning you may need.

Hey man, no need to justify anything, its all good no harm intended, my bad if u took offense to any of that. Your shop is like 3hrs from me so it wont be an easy task makin time to come by for a visit but ill make it down whenever possible. I do need some work done as i dont have a welder anymore and i do need a couple parts, used perferably if possible...07 Nismo.

How much is an Osiris tune? Do you need to buy any hardware? Is it worth doing with an intake, plenum spacer and a Y-pipe back exhaust?

My situation was unique. I bought the cable from Vince and had it tuned locally which was done very badly as they weren't an authorized tuner for Uprev. Vince jumped in and emailed me a few ROM's and I downloaded them on another dyno completely fixing my tune. He spent a lot of time on the phone on a weekend helping me through the process.

cable and license I think was 700? Came with cable and Osiris. Vince emailed the Rom's as huge favor to me after the disasterous initial tune decribed above.

Sounds like some great Customer service right there! I spent $700 on my UpRev dyno tune and received no cable from Performance Motorsports! They also seem distracted or uninterested in customer phone calls.

My last trip I am still fixing some of their install issues. Monday I have to get my car up on the lift to fix a Samco hose kit install gone wrong. They cut corners installing the bottom radiator hose. Probably didn't remove the plastic aero panel to properly install and seat the hose. The clamp is all crooked and leaking. Has been leaking since I picked it up from them. I went through 2+ gallons of coolant in 3 kmi. Lets just say I am not to happy with them!..

I also have some gear noise from their Quaife & 4.08 gears they installed. I will dump the fluid and have the lashing checked. It seems to be getting louder on deceleration. All with around 3 kmi or less since they did the work.

I would be interested in giving RT a chance. It's hard to find a shop that does things correctly! I thought performance was that shop but I have heard issues from other friends. If they weren't 4 hrs away I would return the car to them to fix it on their dollar and not mine....! It's always better to do your own work if you can. I may need to just start renting lifts. At least when I do a job, I am meticulous..

+1 for Vince. He took time out of his LUNCH BREAK to help explain something to me a couple weeks ago. Now that is true customer service, and I haven't even been a customer yet. I recommend R/T to anybody who needs work/tuning/parts/seasonal car storage/etc.
