Default Anyone ever polish there hood?

I'm sure I'll get some hate for this but oh well. The past few weeks I've been spending my spare time stripping sand and polishing my hood. Finally starting too look decent. Anyone ever see this done?

......wut

I have a hard enough time with black paint. Polished is not something I want to endure.

Yeah it's not exactly easy too keep up on that's for sure. I'm still workin on some light scratches but its getting pretty decent now. Either way hood needed painted so I figured I'd go do something different.

Your car is being "Debo-ed" good sir..... the perp is a young caucasian female approx 2 feet tall...

Polished hood looks great with the mismatched front

paint the kit and post some far off pix...

I have seen some people who have polished "THEIR" hoods.

Yeah I know front bumper is mismatched lol. I just recently did a built motor and a custom remote mount turbo kit with a built motor. Now that its up and running good time too make it look good (car had bad blowby when I bought it I built motor right away and turboed it). Btw the little girl loves the car. She likes sitting in drivers seat and playing around with switches.

scat rods, arias stock bore pistons, jwts1 cams, rev-up heads, l19 head studs, pathfinder cooling mod, vq35hr headgasket and acl main and rod bearings. It's temporary it was the vq35 that was out of my 240sx I just rebuilt it after I had a piston failure in the 240. I got another motor on engine stand and a set of arias pistons and cp pistons that are both 20 over. Not sure which set I wanna use also got crower pro series rods for that motor.

Default hood

What do you do when it rains? Watch it rust/ I'd rather drive my car than polish the hood constantly.

Never been a fan of polished anything, but from what I can tell it looks like you did a pretty good job.

too lazy to look for it, but their was a thread with a silver Z that had done this years ago. I think it looks ok.......better than the rusted hood mod others used to do.

That would be insane to maintain the finish. Looks like you did a good job polishing it though.

True, but polished anything shows water spots and whatnot quite easily. It would take a lot of effort to make sure something like the hood looks nice.
