I'm going either this Saturday or next, probably early. Plan to park at 15th and Vine, its usually $5.00 on Sat. behind Magee Hosp and an easy walk down. The lots close to the convention center will rip ya. Not sure what concepts will be there. Hoping to see the 2005 'vette or mustang, holden gto and others?? Not sure what the imports are up to for the show.

Will have my black 350Z hat on. The auto shows web site does provide the concepts - Enzo and Gallardo exotics and some of the ugliest domestics I've ever seen. I like the Chevy SS, but what is dodge thinking with the Kahunamobile? And, will the competition for the fugliest 4 wheel boxes ever end ???

FYI -There are $2 off coupons on bags from McDs.

Just got back from the show - really enjoyed it this year. Some great cars to check out. Its interesting to see all the new Z-like 2 seaters and 2+2 coupes and roadsters coming out. More competition and choices.
Sorry no pics, but here's a list of sportsters, concepts and new models there that I found worth checking out: pontiac solstice,
GTO, mercury messenger, wrx-sti, saturn ion, ford GT, C6 vette, Z06, chevy SS, chevy ssr, viper, kahuna (with 2 surf boards on top that have ram symbols on the skegs), chrysler crossfire, BMW Z4 and M3, s2000, scions, GM technology hybrid, prius, audi tt, Lambos, Ferraris and maseratis, aston martin vanquish, vw phaeton, minis, G35AWD, miata, mitsu evo, mazda 8, porsche GT-3 et al and I'm sure others I can't think of at this moment. As usual, some are up on platforms and you can only see them from a distance, but you can climb in a bunch and make great visual comparisons while there still fresh in your mind - too bad you can't startem and drive. Of course all the high end luxury stuff is there and 8zillion suvs. Enjoy.

I'd read about the Vanquish a few months ago in one of the mags. Its Beautiful. The Enzo was incredible too. I thought it was a $300k car, but some guy said you can't touch it for a mil. In the get real Bill category, I liked the Mercury Messsenger, wonder if they will build it.
I had an interesting conversation with the subuaru guy at the show about the subaru wrx sti. I think that car is an incredible piece of engineering, had looked at it before I bought the Z and talked to him about the 0-60 times. Its faster than the Z. I told him I have a Z and he asked if its my daily driver and I said yes. He told me that in his opinion I was better off with the Z because the sti is made for rallly racing and it would beat you to death. I told him the Z is not exactly a town car, and he still said the sti is a much tougher ride.
Hope you enjoy the show dkent2.
