Roger, what a cute niece you have. We absolutely will donate to your charity. See you next week.

The extended outlook is currently calling for a 50% chance of rain on the 8th. Here's hoping that changes over the course of the next week!!

Personally, I prefer to think of this as a 50% chance of blue skies & sunshine. Every Z meet I've been to has been rain-free, and I see no reason that the sports-car gods won't smile upon us that day.

Deb, I think it is too early to worry about the rain as the forecast can change quite a bit in the next 7 days. Plus there can't be much water left up in the heavens! And even though we set a record for rainfall this month, I have little doubt that there will be a water ban this summer...

OK, bad news for me and my car. I just received these pictures this morning, taken yesterday in California. I was hoping that there would be someway they could get it to me in time, but unfortunately it's still in the bodyshop and no way to get it here by next Saturday.

On a positive note, the Nissan dealer right around the corner from the meet has a used Lemans Sunset for sale so I may have to do an extended "test drive" on Saturday!

Here's some pictures of my car. I don't want to hi-jack this thread (again) as it's about the meet, but since my car can't be there I thought I would give some links to some other pictures of it (below the picture) for anyone that was interested in it's progress. BTW I should have it back by the following weekend. Yeah right!

Sparco Monza seats (I think the actual color is...RED )
Seats (again) and Momo steering wheel (note red stitching in wheel!)
Stop Tech Brakes (on all 4 wheels)
Z4 Markers from Evo-R (I wish they had the "foglights" on at the same time)

Hey, Roger sorry to hear you won't have your car next week.

My son now won't feel so bad now as he wanted to go just to see your car but since his best friend is having a paintball shooting birthday party he won't be coming with me.

BTW, what are they doing to your car that they had to take it all apart like that?

So sorry to hear that your car won't make it next week, Roger. If you're not going to have your car, you should definitely go you Plan B. At this rate, it's the only way we'll ever actually get a LeMans at one of our meets.

One other thing, Rog...you can definitely count me in for a charitable donation to the CF fund.

Actually Nazar is working with Sebastian who is having the Espirit body kit installed on his LS this week. Nazar will be coming to the meet, along with some gift certificates to his new shop (reach him at 603-557-4046 if you need to) and will either bring Sebastian with him or at least try to bring his car hopefully.

BTW David, you won a Momo gear shift **** at the Atco meet. I left it in Chris' car but he'll have it with him on Saturday.

Gerald, hopefully Rick will bring his video from his camera. He filmed most of the trip, including his two races I believe!

Finally, thanks in advance to everyone's donations!

Rain? Should I bring some traffic cones so we can practice drifting in the parking lot then?

Looks like they're calling for rain showers around the time we'll be getting ready for the cruise. BUT you know these weathermen...things can change! We've still got 4 days.

Do we get any hints on the cruisin' route? Or is the surprise just part of the fun...

Hello!

Still planning to meet leemik and myself on the south shore on your way down from Boston? Forgive me I know we met at the wolloston beach meet but I'm horrible with names. We were planning to meet at the Borders Books and take off around 9am. We figure 45 minute drive give or take. Any other takers?

Oh and does anyone have a cam mount for in their car for the cruise or any other "events" that might go on that day? I unfortunately only have a digicam no video.

I'm working on drawing the map out right now!

Last weekend, after much research and debate, I finally came up with what should be a great cruise down through Bourne, Falmouth and Woods Hole area of the Cape. Yesterday I drove the route and it was incredible! At least 50% of the roads are newly paved (see pic #1) within the last ~8 months and the other 50% are in excellent shape with no bumps. The route mainly follows the shoreline of "greater" Falmouth and has many views of the ocean, the Woods Hole lighthouse (click HERE for a "quicktime" panoramic view of the road around the lighthouse) and some beautiful homes. Lots of twisty roads through tree lined streets and some nice sharp turns!!! I also scouted out a couple of locations for pictures including 2 huge parking lots on the ocean (pics #3 & #4). The whole cruise will probably take ~1.5 hours.

PIC #1 (Newly paved road)

PIC #2 (Old Silver Beach parking lot)

PIC #3 (Nobska Lighthouse/Woods Hole)

PIC #4 (Second parking lot)

Rough cruise route
