I think you would like Colton's (CJM) car then because his car has almost no stock body, but its very clean and simple. Mine has almost no stock body but its more exaggerated. And Mike (dboyzalter) has less body work, but has some nice carbon touches.

For reference: My car is the white one and Colton's is the brown one

Welcome to the Northeast thread and congrats on the purchase. Should be pretty nice once you get her fixed up and I like the plans you have for your car. Little by little, you'll see it completely transform I'm sure.

In other news, I didn't do anything to the Z this weekend because my wallet doesn't let me. But I took photos of course...

Sometimes I even impress myself. I just patched mine with 2 1/2 inch pipe and 2 clamps untill I got around to replacing it.

In other news I do have a Y pipe back exhaust laying around I would sell for pretty cheap.

Looking good...

Whats up with all the people on that Facebook group all believing that a 4 inch intake actually gives any real gains???

I mean its pretty smart of the people who make it to say they need a tune with it... But still...

I've yet to see anyone compare the 4" intake + tune to a stock intake + tune. Only comparisons I've seen were gains over bone stock...which shows no effect of the 4" intake.

I half just want to make a 5" intake and make huge claims. If bigger is better, way too much must be perfect

Thats why whoever came up with it is so smart, but the people who actually believe it does anything are not...

You could just get the car tuned bone stock and probably get similar results...

We should skip right to a 6 inch intake and save money on filters by just using the jwt filter but double the price.

Yea the intake doesnt make a difference as long as you are still running it to a 2.75" TB

Everyone knows an intake on a VQ doesnt do anything unless it has a force driven impeller.

And this is like an entirely different car now... The dark color makes it so much more sinister. And I didnt think it was possible, but the intercooler sticks out even more now

Those exhaust tips are both covered in dust and lots of soot.

And you're getting a good bit of storage space back

I was so excited to get rid of some stuff... Same dude wants a bunch of suspension also... I tried to explain that G35 body parts are useless to me but the suspension is part of the reason I got the car...

He offered me $80 for the entire suspension on the passenger front...

Im like I spent like 3 hours cleaning up the lower control arms and getting them ready for new bushings... No thanks...

I said $80 would work for everything but the lower control arm and he isn't interested...

Good luck just the knuckle assembly used on ebay is like $90

Calipers only? Or rotors and pads as well? If so 400 is very low, I think I got 700 for mine earlier this year

Yeah but one of my bleeder screws got stripped on a front caliper so gotta give a discount, and the rotors and pads are junk.
