If its a g35 setup meant to go in the fender then it will not work on a Z. We have no room near the vortech for the tubing to quickly bend

So just wondering why dont they make a supercharger kit that sticks the blower in the ac compressors spot and just remove the A.C.

Seem like the best place and easiest way to run, guess people wouldn't want to give up their A.C. Though.

Other things would become complicated if that were the case. The blower would then be sitting basically on top of the oil filter, it would be much more open to the elements if it were that low. And making a bracket to hold it in that spot would be harder because most of the timing cover is covered with pulleys

Hi guys, just popping it to ask a random question in the event someone in Mass might know.

I have an 03 z and was considering of selling for anything Chevy V8, then I figured possibly might be cheaper to do an LS swap. Does anyone know what the inspection laws are? Would the car have to be track use only? I would want it to be dual purpose.

Thanks

I'm not entirely sure but im guessing by the time your ls built Z is complete it should fall under the 15 year old rule and at that point im pretty sure it only needs to pass safety for the inspection sticker.

I could be wrong but thats how I understand the inspection rules.

the oil filter is on the opposite side, and the whole assembly could be made to a similar size as the a.c. Compressor and just have a pully in the same spot... It would be low but it would be a nice alternative.

I have no idea what the laws are for Mass, but depending on exactly which GM product interests you, it is likely much cheaper to just buy a car that came with an LS in it.

And yea Mike Im not really sure what other complications would come up but I think somebody on the design team would've thought about it. Maybe you could be the first

All I need to do is develop some fabrication skills and build a workshop and win the powerball to pay for it.

And to think that white was so much brighter than the PPW paint underneath and now look at it. Like he said, browner than my car

I looked into the LS swap. Well over 10k, about 16k to LOJ something or other in NJ. Soup to nuts.

I just assume by a C5 vette or 10/11 Camaro. Oh wells.. Just figured I had a great platform already.

Just supercharge that pig, lots of people get good power out of them... Gotta pay for that 400hp in a LS car or drop that money in the Z

JWT Clutch, flywheel and Willwood master/OEM slave going in tomorrow. Then, the Z becomes the daily driver until the break in miles are over.

Starting to get anxious to install boost

Colton come get your damn hatch and you can have my old v2 air filter setup.

Also got my v7 at my local metal/polishing guy. He is trimming the extra ears off the bracket and going to give the snail part a mild polish. All for a pretty crazy price.

And I will be pretty inactive here next week, going to the bahamas with the bro and the chicas
