That may be tough....The ZGCA meet in Ogunquit is that weekend. (I'm still not sure if I'll be going to be able to make that one, however, so I would still be up for cruising locally if I don't go to Ogunquit)

FYI....I'll post the status of the meet on Friday night. As it looks right now it's going to be cancelled due to rain, but I'll make the final post tomorrow.

Just saw the weather on the 6 PM news...latest forecast says the rains aren't coming until later in the day, for what it's worth.

Have fun you guys!

Looking forward to meeting up with y'alls the following weekend with my injen.

Ok...I've been keeping this quiet for a couple weeks, but now that it's official, I guess I can tell you guys.

This afternoon, I called a meeting with my boss, sat him down, and gave him my 2 weeks notice. The current situation at my job has just become miserable beyond belief, so after doing some long hard thinking, I decided to quit and finish my getting MBA full-time (I've only got a year to go). In other words, July 20th is my last day on the job, and as of now, I'm declaring July 21st Independence Day. And there's no better way to celebrate it than cruising in the summer sun...woohoo!

Thanks, G...I'm 8 days into my little sabbatical from Corporate America, and I couldn't be happier.

Now, that I have my car back I can now start checking this section again!

I wish I could make it but I'm going to Chicago to catch a Red/White Sox game and a Cubs game, if the stadium stops crashing down on people...

Not to hijack this thread, but David and Deb (and anyone else), are you not going to Ogunquit? Should be a lot of fun and it's only ~90 minutes from Boston, if that. I was hoping we could have a big GTG up there.

BTW, bold move David. No better time than the present and ditto on the Hot Prom Night comment. Good luck!

THE CRUISE IS ON FOR TOMORROW - 8/21

Looks like the showers will be late in the day, as Dave said. So let's go ahead with the meet.

We can decide on a place to have lunch when we're hanging out at the lot.

See ya's tomorrow!

Roger - SO glad to hear you got the car back!! But it sucks that you can't join us.

Unfortunately I can't make it up to Maine. I was originally going to try and head up on the 27th, but I'm hoping to be starting a new job that day. Keep your fingers crossed! I have b-day plans on the 28th (even though my b-day is the 29th) so I won't be able to make it.

Deb, can you PM me your cell # or someone who has one that's going? I have to work early in the morning but should be done by 10:30ish. I'd like to be able to join you guys in the middle of cruising.

Wow....with just the test pipes the Injen is brutal. Will do the dyno next week before Ogunquit; as for the Rotorars it would depend if my HRE's are returned in time, which I doubt very much, as I still need to powder coat the wheel here since HRE had difficulty in matching the colors. I've been informed that both the inner and outer rim had to be replaced......OUCH

.....and if my 18" stocks are able to “take-in” the 14" rotors, and real hung calipers…..so there is still a possibility.

What do you guys think; should I come up with the test pipes or replace with the PE cats?

You're telling me! I was stuck at work out in Marlborough and the car was outside in a hail storm!!! I just started hearing pinging on the metal roof outside our building and I was horrified. There was M&M size hail coming down and all I could do is stare out the window and prey. Initial look at it didn't see any damage but I'll make sure tomorrow when its light out. Keeping fingers crossed...

Definitely not a good sound to hear...looks like I picked the right time to quit working in Marlborough

Kidding aside, I hope everything's cool with your Z. We spend way too much time protecing our cars from the elements to have one bad storm make them look like golf *****. As for me, I'm guessing that I probably looked pretty silly taking a Cali Blade to my car less than an hour after the storm subsided.

Looks like a real cloudy day for a cruise But we'll give it a go! At least it'll be a chance to get together for lunch and hang out.
