Default Z n' G only cruise - 8/21 Natick, MA

A few people have contacted me regarding a cruise so I'm going to try and organize another one. It's basically the same info as the one from 7/31 but unfortunately no one was around/able to come. So here goes a second attempt...

WHEN: Saturday, August 21st

WHERE: Natick/Framingham, MA - Flutie Pass - in overflow lot across from the AMC Movie Theater - directions

TIME: between 9:30am and 10:00am

WHAT'S PLANNED: A cruise and then lunch (This cruise is for 350Z's, older Z's, and G35's only.) The location for the lunch TBD so check future posts. Suggestions: we can end the cruise at a restaurant along the route or we can stop at Dairy Joy in Weston which serves hamburgers, hot dogs and ice cream. Or, we can end the cruise where we started and eat at TGIFriday's.

The cruise will be around the Natick, Sudbury, Weston area.

Since the initial meeting spot is a public parking lot, we wouldn't be able to have a "meet" but we can definitely hang out for a while and head out on the road.

Sounds like a plan...I'm going to be in a major celebratory mood that day anyway, so going cruising will be a nice way to enhance the fun.

I didn't post it on the BMS site only to avoid having non-Z's show up. This is a Z n' G only meet.

The last meet was supposed to be a Z n' G only meet and it ended up being more BMW's than anything else.

You're selling your Z?

Ok...I've been keeping this quiet for a couple weeks, but now that it's official, I guess I can tell you guys.

This afternoon, I called a meeting with my boss, sat him down, and gave him my 2 weeks notice. The current situation at my job has just become miserable beyond belief, so after doing some long hard thinking, I decided to quit and finish my getting MBA full-time (I've only got a year to go). In other words, July 20th is my last day on the job, and as of now, I'm declaring July 21st Independence Day. And there's no better way to celebrate it than cruising in the summer sun...woohoo!

I have no raindate for this (some have asked). Right now they're calling for rain on Saturday but that could change at any moment.

Good for you CelticPride2!

I'm currently going for my CFA charter - and I'm thinking about going back to get my MBA via evening classes, but there are just so many obligations.

I daydream of quitting my job, starting off at Wyotech and becoming an expert mechanic/tuner.

I wish I had a doctor/lawyer/rich wife so she could support me while I tried turning my dream into a reality.

LOL....don't we all.

You're absolutely right about the obligations....I could never imagine trying to get my MBA and pass the CFA exams at the same time.

Sunday would be fine as well, as it's only got a 20% chance of rain whereas Saturday has a 40% chance with T-Storms predicted.

Either day is fine, I just hope I can get my test pipes installed before then, as they are coming in Friday afternoon.

To get a better turn-out, would everyone rather put this off until 8/29 (Sunday)?
