Should be nice, high 70's. I don't know where the drizzle came from though.

Just finished washing/waxing last night and it started to drizzle. Luckily the car was in the garage by then. Phew!

Looks like the rain is already stating to let up in my area. Should be dry by tonight, and excellent conditions by tommorrow morning since the roads just got a good washing.

Mt. St. Helen's is still somewhat active, no road closures, looks good. Hopefully we'll get to see it sending out some steam tommorrow w/ the rain that we're having today. In case you're interested:

Weather looks great for tommorrow. It's a go! See y'all tommorrow.

Does anyone else have mental images of a sudden eruption and a group of pristeen Zs and Gs racing away from the billowing smoke ...

Mt. St. Helens. Volcano. I don't know the address, but just follow the road to the big, smoking, cratered mountain. Instructions in this thread: https://my350z.com/forum/north-west/132000-seattle-area-caravan-to-mt-st-helen-s.html

Just got home. Wanted to see if every one recieved a police escort to the intersate or if it was just our honor to recieve personal attention from the fine men in blue.

They didn't give us any trouble just doing thier job. When they saw us they made a quick U turn and ran the plates on the last 2 cars, and then just followed us to the interstate.

Had a good time none the less though I think we our victims of our sucess due the large number of cars generating repeated complaints until the rangers had to call somebody.

Nice to meet everyone and hope to see everyone agian some time.
Now post those pictures.

A little heavy there on the throttle. You're right, 2 or 3 cars wouldn't have gotten much attention, but almost 20 cars...... I think it's fair to say that we may not be welcomed on Hwy 504 as a group again.

I hung around JRO for a little while after we got there and didn't see law enforcement the entire way down to I-5. V1 didn't make a peep the entire way down.

It was good meeting you guys. You guys from Portland are a great bunch. It was fun (too much fun to be a good thing), I'm just glad no one got in trouble or worse. If we ever do this again, we gotta have rules.

I think I may have been one of the first to leave after getting to the Observatory. I took it really easy on the way back and at some point a fine black German automobile and 2 others caught up to me slowly. I was doing the speed limit and they never really caught up once the traffic in front of me turned off the road.

Then I saw an officer coming at us....flip a U....and then he sure seemed intersted in the G35 at the rear of the group. A friendly escort to the highway I suppose.

A few minutes later on I-5 South another cop went flying by me in the fast lane with his lights on. I was cruising (again) at the speed limit in the middle lane and he seemed to slow down and hesitate when passing me. I honestly think he was looking for more of our group to be out there speeding.

Had a good time nonetheless. Lots of great cars and good people!

Sorry I missed the meet, but I was having fun Saturday and Sunday.

Overall, I ended up fifth in class (my co-driver was sixth, primarily due to Saturday's results), but on Sunday I had the third fastest time in the class (behind both Ron and Stephen in Stephen Hui's Porsche 968).

After reading the stories and seeing the pics I'm really sorry I missed this one. I had every intention of going, however, my return "fright" from Denver was delayed and it was after 3AM before we touched down in PDX Saturday morning. There was no way I was going home, taking a nap and then trying to make this. None of you need a sleepy driver planting his DB Track into your rear hatch! <G>

maxim, rolling, pdx racer, oman and brucekgt...wanna get together soon for a short cruise?

I had a good time, but I really shouldn't have brought my "right-seat rev-limiter". The two Porsches and the Brickyard Z passed me across double yellow lines going into a corner while I was doing about 85 and she started acting up! Go figure....
I never saw a single cop until I hit I-5. Let's do it again.
