Default AutoX Practice Day - 8/20/05 -"Yes,... more."

This is a heads up to all the BEAC members and regulars; Saturday 8/20/05. Another opportunity this month to flex a little Z muscle. This is one of the rare opportunities where I will not be focaling the event so I can actually spend time hanging around w/ everyone. I can even meet up w/ you guys to convoy up this time.

Since I'm not focaling this event; lets make sure ALL guests are accounted for (essentially anyone driving or not driving that steps foot onto the lot), the usual legal issues apply. No pop-ins w/o a BEAC member vouching for you (limit 2 guests per member). Seems like a couple of guys w/ MR2s decided to crash the party uninvited last time, that's not cool w/ BEAC. They were asked to leave.

At any rate, for you Z guys interested and not BEAC members get a hold of one of us that will be going that day so you can get accounted for as one of our guests. Any questions, drop me a PM or post it here.

Should we make this the 1st round of the RWYB competition?

Crud. I can't make it on the 20th. I rented a beach house on the sound for the weekend.

And my helmet just came in the mail today! Dang!

I'm hoping BA Cutler makes it since he's the best chance of fending off the "STi advance" to defend the Z's image. Almost as many STi's out there than there are Z's.

Well, BEAC isn't a place, it's an auto club (Boeing Employees Autosports Club). We have autoX practice days (closed to the public) at Boeing's Everett West Lots. The location we run at is about 20 minutes north of Seattle to give you an indication of where it is.

YES!!! Just got the word from work! I can make it if someone could have me as a guest on this day.

I'm changing positions, and the guy that I'm taking over for was already scheduled with that day off!!!!

Thanks,
jeff

Earth to Rahtok..... Earth to Rahtok..... come in Rahtok.....

I spoke to BA Cutler and it doesn't look like he's gonna make it. Dr. Volk and Lateapex won't be there form what I can tell, so will you be coming? I'll see what I can do to pass off the guests that I currently have, but by having you come would help.

Funny you should mention that; I was thinking you and my brother in-law. My brother in-law is a 'tentative' guest right now, depends if my wife will come to practice or not. If so then she can bring him as her guest and I can bring one more Z guy. So no worries, you're covered.

Oof... I don't know if I can make it this weekend. We're packing for a move to Issaquah (close on Sept 12), and with all that going on, I don't know if I'll be able to spare a saturday for playtime this week. We'll see how much I get done by Friday night and I'll post whether I can go. Have you pinged Tom (Cryptic) to see if he's going?

The new house has a big ol shop, though. Almost 1000 square feet of detached shop goodness that will be just for car stuff...

DAMN Brian! Looks awesome! You said it was big...but wow! Can I store my boat (that I haven't bought yet) there too?

HEY!!! ALERT! Cambell Nelson Nissan is Selling their hydrolic LIFTS for $750!!!

Very good deal...you should buy one! Just call them and ask for Travis in service, he'll hook you up.

You just have to be able to go up there and grab it!

P.S. Can my NSX still come over?

I can see why you bought the place. That garage is sweet. I agree w/ DrVolkl, all you need to complete the picture is a 2 or 4 post lift.

Okay, so my bro in-law bailed. Since I'm the only one of the Z-car BEAC guys going this Saturday it seems, I have one more open spot (the other is filled by MadMax76). I'd like to offer it to one of the guys who have been to practice w/ us before (Cryptic, BKMC, Triple8sol, etc..), first one to call it gets it. If I don't hear anything from any of you guys I'll offer it up to anyone new who wants to give it a try.

FYI: Due to issues w/ someone posting BEAC practice days on an MR2 forum w/o taking responsiblity for it, this is probably the last time I'll be mentioning practices cuz of new club rules.

Really, 750? Hydrolic though... I wonder what else I need to make that all work.

And yeah, even though you bought a Honda, I guess we can still be friends...

Well, I got the day off to try to squeeze in. But, I'm going on Friday night to pick up our Mongolian exchange student from the airport (just found out we were taking him today). I doubt he would be up for something like that after his flight. Looks like I will have to bail out anyway.

Thanks for the consideration.
