anyone know about problems with changing to aftermarket stereo?

hey guys, im finally ready to swap out my crappy stock stereo and put in all aftermarket stereo. but i've heard that if you have stock stereo and factory navigation, that you lose the navigation or something similar, i couldnt find any information on that from the posts, but i've read it somewhere. does anyone know anything about this matter? also, do u guys recommend anyone on stereo installation?

Here you go, bro. Which head unit will you be going with? If it has a mute function, it should work with the nav voice.

i think i will go with either the pioneer deh 9400 or the high end clarion one...
as for the speakers, i got diamond audio hex s600a components for the back and looking for good 5 1/4 components for the front.. i will also need to buy a 4 channel amp and a pair of good subs..,
