We just finished installation of the VPro on out blue widebody supra, and are now recognized as the only certified HKS Pro dealer in the Northwest. We would now like to offer a special on the first 2 350Zs that come in for a VPro install, $700 for installation and tuning of the HKS VPro. Please contact me if you are interested.

Brian:

Is the VPRo like the APEXi unit? What does it do exactly, remap the fuel curves after a certain RPM threshold, piggyback the ECU or does it replace the ECU?

I plan to keep my car NA with stock cams - at most full exhaust and my existing JWT intake. What kind of power can I expect to see with proper tuning (by your guys)?

Does the tuning need to be "maintained" over time or is it a one-shot deal?

The HKS VPro piggybacks the stock computer, but it takes full control of the fuel and ignition maps. You can also load up to 4 different maps into the computer and switch between them whenever (good for pump gas/race gas tune).

The tuning should be a one shot deal, but if you change any parts in the future you would want to freshen up the tune.

If you call the shop on Monday you could speak with John, who is our main tuner, and he can give you information on all of the tuning capabilities of the VPro.

The FCON IS is currently released only in Japan, and there is no ETA yet on when they will be available in the US.
