ok, there have been a few small local meets but it would be nice to have alot of washington and oregon Z/G's all meet. something with a nice cruise for everyone to caravan and meet in somewhat of a central spot between portland and seattle. the coast is always nice, lol.
now i just checked and there looks like the astoria crab and seafood festival is happening the 28th-30th this month. pretty fun event, in years past i thought they held a car show right down the road in warrenton, but not seeing anything on it.
there is also a sport compact show in seaside oregon on may 6th.

actually just checked the northwest Z site and it appears they are planning a trip to astoria for the seafood and crab festival.

this gives me 10 days to pull my motor and rebuild it i have pulled off worse deadlines!

 

I'd love to get together with everyone and hang out - just let me know when and where and I'll be there. (Though, the 6th may be bad as we're moving, but I'm not sure yet.)

 

I've tried to make runs in the past, but couldn't. I don't know what the hell the problem is. I ALWAYS made the Tacoma Territory off road runs, and one with the Jeep, but never the Z. I just took a job working nights, but I get every weekend off. This spring is going to be Z season! Whoot!

 

well i am definately going to head to the astoria crab festival. the beer garden there is pretty fun and northwestZ club is going too. that is a pretty fun event.

 

I'd be up for a meet/cruise as I've never met any other Z/G owners. The coast would be cool. A few of my favorite roads lead out to the coast, and would make for an excellent cruise.

 

Depending on when it's at, I would consider coming over for a meet. I've been hoping to make it to at least one over there this spring/summer.

let me give it some thought today. prolly somewhere near the beginning of highway 30. will work good for people coming from washington also. sometime around 10am. would be there by 12.

not sure if my car will be able to go or not, as my headlift issue is really getting bad. it will make it if i stay out of boost, but do i have that kind of will power on a long trip, lol. either way, i'm heading out there!!

i will figure out when northwestZ's is meeting and where.

 

I'll actually be able to be there on that weekend it seems, my move date has been moved.

 

hey allon, just to make sure your on the right page, this will be april 29th, not may 6th.
i got an email from the gal organizing things with northwest Z's and they are just going to all meet at the event in astoria. got her # and will call on the way. they will get at the fest. around 10am. figure we all could get there by 12. perfect time for wine tasting and beer gardens, hahaha. oh ya, seafood too.

i may toss in some new head gaskets before the trip, it will prolly hold for that amount of time, but never in the condition i'm in now. i have come to terms i will not be able to do all the stuff i need to do to the car before next weekend.

 

Ah ok, that's still just fine by me .

well there is no way i will be able to rebuild the motor before this weekend, but i can do headgaskets in a long day. going to swap them out and it will hold me over a little longer to make this trip.
