this weekend is the astoria seafood festival. pretty fun little event and a nice drive out there. i know everyone has been itching for a cruise, so here it is. northwest Z's is already heading out there, but they are all showing up at different times so they don't have a specific cruise set up.
we will be meeting at the macdonalds near the beginning of hwy30. super easy to find on the north side of hwy30. should be a good central spot for everyone. 10am will be the time, and departure at 10:20. my number is below if anyone is running late. 503-504-1037 everyone can stay as short or as long as they want.

Portland -- Hwy 30 is Lombard St. through Portland.

 

Anyone know the address of the Mcdonalds? It appears Hwy 30 is east-west (http://www.google.com/maps?f=q&hl=en...tland,+or&om=1).

if you look on the map, hwy 30 should start right where it intersects 405 running through the center of town. the macdonalds is just about 1/2 mile on the right from that intersection of hwy30 and 405.

Typical Oregon politicians, they can't even decide WHICH road should be designated Hwy 30.

 

According to Navi (with the wife's help) the address is:

3208 NW Yeon Ave
Portland OR
97210-1524

 

This is in the NW industrial area. Think NW 23rd... adjacent streets go alphabetically down the street (e.g. Burnside, Couch... Savier, Thurman.. Vaughn and then Yeon.)

I'm 80% in - gotta check the schedule.

 

alright, after 30 straight hours of work on my car (ok, had a 4 hour nap, lol) replacing head gaskets and other maintenance fixes and mods, my car appears ready to make the trip.

I'm glad you got that **** done man! I wish I could have been of some help, but I'm so clueless when it comes to an engine as stripped as your was when I got there . I look forward to seeing it in full force .

Also, you need to post pics of that blown engine - that was entertaining. I should have done it while I was there.

 

I'm headed up to Seattle on Saturday, might as well take the scenic route and meet some fellow Z owners. Count me in.
