unfortunately those engine mods definitely void your warranty and likely are the cause of your problems...

Remove them and bring your car to a different dealer and you should be able to get service under warranty....

that is not correct. Nothing can automatically "void" your warranty. The dealership must prove the mod was the cause of the problem before they can deny it as a warranty claim.

That is technically true... however a plenum spacer with a faulty gasket could easily be blamed for the problem. And it depends on the dealership, but there is a magnuson law that protects you... just as brocken states...

however, if they can even find a reason (the improperly installed mod or the act of installation caused the failure) other than an actual failure of a factory part, they can go back and charge you for everything from diagnostics to breaking the engine apart to replacing it....

Honestly, do you think your mod may be the culprit? If there's a chance it might be... then the above statement can go into effect... If it was me I wouldn't risk it and return my car to stock engine and then have them trouble shoot it... you could always put the mods back again afterwards....

btw I'm only talking about the plenum spacer.. the air intake rarely voids warranty unless it was leaking and allowed unfiltered air into the engine...

my 2 cents..

I agree.. Dont take it back there. Take it to Advantage nissan in bremerton, TRUST ME, its worth the drive. Enterprise is right next door, and they might be able to get you in a rental.
