I didn't know about the girls! Cripes I would have dealt with umbrellas and hoofing through the huge parking lot to see what the cold does to girls bodies.
Hope you all are having a great time over there. Sorry I couldn't make it.

Goodyear tire center wouldn't patch it because it was so close to the edge of the tire. Does it make sense?

I went to a couple Tire shops (les schwab, and firestone) and neigther show would plug or patch the tire because the damage was so close to the sidewall. But I was about a mile from golden gardens anyway and the tire seemd to be holding air somewhat ok (and I just bought a 12v tire pump) so I figured what the heck and went out to golden gardens around 12:30.

Man it was completely dead. I mean there were a few people out and about, but no Nissans. I knew I was late, but man I figured people must have cleaned up and got out of there fast because it was raining.

. . .. but then I check my calander again. Sunday March 15, not Saturday. Doh !

So I'll see what I can do with my tire today.

a lot of shops won't fix a tire when the hole/puncture is close to the side wall...the patches that they use don't work as well near the sides and they don't want to be resposible for a blow out. I had a nail in my Civic's tire awhile back and decided to drive on it b/c it was only leaking a little bit of air...a week later it blew out on the freeway (no warning...I had just filled it up that morning) - it was kinda scary and by the time I could safely stop, portions of the tire were melted b/c of the heat; in the end, there was no extra damage to te rim or car, but a PITA to install the spare on the side of the freeway.
