Dude were you there at the Holiday Z/G meet? If so, I don't think I looked THAT skinny . . . . . and I just ate before too.

Gentlemen (and ladies if there are any present),

Would we be interested in getting together for another shot at go karting? Maybe after the NWN meet.

I personally like Sykart and since a lot of guys are already familiar w/ it, it might not be a bad place to get together again. Although, it may be nice to try some other place so that Triple8Sol doesn't have his way w/ us again.

As for food, lots of places in Southcenter to eat (probably afterwards) are open late.

Same here. And since spring/summer is approaching, we wouldn't be in a flooded parking lot in total darkness, with strange men in AE86's telling us to start a web site to make money.

Yeah, those Hachi-Roku guys are good competition to go karting against. Something they must pick up naturally from driving those AE86's. I'd like to go run w/ them again.

I used go SyKart often. That was fun. I'm in if its gonna happen. Fri, Sat, or Sun please....

BTW. Last time I went there they had 5.5, 9, and one 11hp kart. I got to ride that 11hp once (all the other times it wasn't goin'). It took me a lap or so to get used to it. I was fishtailing out of turns a lot. That was the best go cart I've ever been on....

Did we race them last time? All I remember was getting owned, giving up, and just ended up trying to drift my kart.

Is there a go karting place somewhere in between Seattle & Portland? I know that there is one just off I-5 in Tacoma, would that be far south enough to make it any more convenient for Portland folks? I think I've been to that place before, from what I recall it wasn't as big or as entertaining as Sykart.

I figure after the NWN Meet, people will already be in the area and we could all go down to Sykart that same day after the meet. However, this activity in combination w/ the NWN Meet may be too much of a time commitment for some that have to attend to other things during the day or that evening.

Any suggestions on alternative dates and times? Maybe sometime in April to keep an activity to look forward to doing next month?

Sounds like Sykart might be the default place for now unless we can think of another. Any suggestions?

I dunno bout that. Then you're talking Altimas, Maximas, Pathfinders, FX35, M35, and Muranos. Too broad imo.

If you wanna go right after the NWN GG meet, there's Traxx nearby in Mukilteo, right off the speedway.

My guess is that after the NWN GG meet may not be the best time to organize a Z/G get together. Since there is no definative time that the GG meet will end or when people choose to leave on their own; it'd be difficult to pick one time to meet for an activity.

My recommendation is organizing it for a day in April. People may be tired after the GG meet or have other things to do. I'm guessing that even if we agree to going now, there won't be a good turnout. That said; I'm up for an activity after the GG meet. Cuz if I'm going to go to Sykart and it's just me and Triple8Sol, that's not gonna be much fun... for me. On the bright-side; Triple8Sol will get a good laugh out of lapping me.

I'm down for Traxx too. W/ the hill it's more fun. But Sykart is bigger and more of a racer's track IMO.

I was thinking about more of a pattern by which we can alternate meets between Washington and Oregon depending on schedules and potential turnout. We have a Sykart in Tigard (Portland) and also have a great outdoor go karting place called Pats Acres just outside of Portland...

I'm also thinking more down the road as opposed to our very next meet. Summertime, perhaps..

I agree w/drivesolo. The GG meet is prob enough for one day.

I hear they changed the tires on the karts at Traxx, so now it's designed more for drifting. Just not my thing. I'm all about grip. Sykart is pretty good, with lots of tight turns. That'd be my choice for karting, and I'll get my buddies (about 8 of which own hachis...lol).

we could also do a few meets in centralia, its pretty much even between portland and seattle (and the highway is usually pretty empty there to)
