Dependable Wheel & Tire Repair in Renton (http://www.dependablewheel.com/). They taken good care of me. They gave me a partial sponsorship running in the WWSCC last year for wheel and tire services. Tim Foster (the owner) is a great guy to just kick back and shoot the breeze with.

I had good luck at at shop on Bel-Red Road in Bellevue. It was a in-between 140th and 148th, near a Miller Paint store ... Can't remember the name of the shop but they did good work at a reasonable price.

Dependable Wheel & Tire Repair in Renton does top notch work, but according to my dad, there's supposed to be a guy in Bothell who's God's gift to wheels. I'll post more if I can find him.

No way to match the stock color with anything over the counter so DIY is out of the question. I had good luck with Infiniti of Kirkland's wheel guy matching the silver when the shop scratched my lug areas on my OEM 19's

I found the same thing when I had the wheels repaired on my G -- the shop was able to match the color closely but the finish was not the same.

I have some rash on my Z wheels but I'm holding off getting them done since I'm not sure how exact a match I can get.

Its because almost all repair shops use a silver basecoat/clearcoat finish, while the OEM wheels are a black basecoat, translucent silver topcoat finish. This is what is Volk's mercury silver color, and isn't available in the US. Its why the silver doesn't have alot of metallic fleck to it, but rather looks like solid metal, and why its almost impossible to match the color.

that's not good to hear. someone said using GM Ultra Silver was good. wonder if that's true.

I'm glad I wasn't around when you did that. Hope no children heard you.

I have a small dose of rash on one wheel. I didn't know what wheel rash was before I got the Z. It's too easy to do.
