Default The NW Music Thread

Just wondering what everyone liked as far as music selection goes. I guess I'll start:

Favorites: Electronic Music DRUM & BASS baby, techno, trance, Hard Rock/Metal, Experimental/Ambient, Industrial . . . .

OK music: Rap, R&B, pop.

Hate: Gay Emo crap, 50 cent type stuff, oldies, country, opera, stuff that sounds like Greenday, etc.

I'm into Thom Yorke's album, NIN, Pig, Chroma Key, Radiohead. Mostly, I've been getting more into electronica, I just can't find anymore good stuff. Other stuff would include Sleepytime Gorilla Museum, Peeping Tom, Mr. Bungle, OSI, Tweaker, and Puscifer.

Also, I've been writing some stuff. I've got about 4 tunes coming up on Real World/Road Rules Challenge. I'm episode 15, but I've got more that I'll be getting on next season.

It's HERE, check it out.

Mostly roots reggae and roots dub. Some concious hip hop, r&b and classic funk/soul.

Diggin' John Brown's Body/10 ft. Ganja Plant right now. Underground roots/dub group(s).

Looks like you got same taste in music as me...
Paul Okenfold, DJ Tiesto, 2Trancy -- to name a few
I'll have to see what music you have...if we ever get a PNW meet together that includes us BC'ers

I don't listen to Boombox often, it's mostly CD's, but when I do turn on the Sat radio I always listen to Area 33.

Check out this website for some SICK music:

www.di.fm

Put your mouse over "listen now"

It will display a huge amount of genres.

So pick one, and put your mouse over THAT.

Then, put your cursor on "Windows Media Player"

After that, CLICK on "32K Low Bandwidth" cuz that one is free.

And you have an infinite of electronic music on your computer for free.

Favorites: Scooter, and anything that hits hard with my stereo. Although lately, its been anything that gets my blood boiling, and makes me want to go kill stuff, or have road rage.

Substitutes: radio rap, c89.5, and any techno

Hey does anybody know a local Drum and Bass Dj that goes by the name Slantooth? He was a friend of mine a few years back that I lost contact with. Just wondering if he is still in the area?
