Got ticketed by an unmarked minivan about 6 months ago in bellevue (wsp vehicle near the i-90 onramp from 405) And yes they do drive imports as well. Got tagged by a built WRX as well. I'm starting to hate my lawyer's fees

Radar/laser detector work if they are using them. But Laser will only work when u shoot it so unless the gun has been shot at someone else in front of you first and detected it, it's too late...

There is a spot where majority of drivers don't even notice that WSP is there. It's north bound I-5 at 145th exit in north seattle... Cop hide behind the bridge and concrete posts of 145th and almost impossible to see. Don't go any faster than 70 there... I used to see them on a weekly basis for a few months. I just saw a conv. Z get pulled over a couple of weeks ago there going S bound...

My friend got going 75 on 70 just north of Marysville and took it to court. Judge dismissed the case and yelled at the Police who showed up for clogging the court system.....

 

There are a lot of WSP chevy malibu/impala's cruising I-5 between Seattle and Fedway. Unmarked, some have exempt license plates, some have regular plates. All of them have Black tinted windows, we are talking illegal dark tinted window. Also a few SUV's (Tahoe's) with the same Black windows. Anytime I see a car like this with Black windows I slow down until I can see into the car. They usually have hidden light bars, inside the car that if you get close enough and the sunlight gets into their car the right way, you can usally see.

If anyone gets a ticket, call Mucklestone&Mucklestone, they specialize in tickets. I literally know dozens of people that have used them, all of them have had the tickets thrown out of court. For most speeding tickets they charge roughly $300-400 but its better than having your Insurance jacked up.

WSP was patrolling the part of I-405 yesterday between Kirkland an the I-5/I-405 interchange. They had various vehicles along that whole stretch of Hwy I saw them on Saturday afternoon w/ a marked patrol car, a motorcycle cop and a back Dogde Charger(?) on the south-bound side.

 

I saw a motorcycle, unmarked crown vic, and normal patrol on the same spot this morning (around 10am)...

 

Or for a highspeed chase I am sure the Bellevue and Kirkland police wouldn't mind having one of these bad boys in their fleet.

WSP was on 405S at the on-ramp in Canyon Park. They were bagging HOV violators. They had at least 3 or 4 pulled over. Grey unmarked Impala as well as a standard patrol car.

 

no joke...cops havn been gettn pretty bad lately. a few days ago, when i was returning home from vancouver, near lynwood on i-5, i saw a cop in a 350z...seriously. it was black w/ tint and rims...but when i got closer to it, i noticed the guy was in uniform and noticed the lights + laptop inside the car. about a few seconds after i realized this, two honda tuners came speedin outta no where...thats when this guy started following them (im pretty sure they got pulled...but i exited right when i saw him turn on his lights).

about a yr ago, one of my friend got a ticket from an unmarked cop (who "tricked" my friend into racing...then again my friend is kinda stupid - no offense if ur readn this). i think it was a mustang or something like that...

 

Nahhhh... that wasn't a cop...... that was just First350 looking for ricers to chase down for some fun.

But I agree w/ you ezramoore about the 350Z. There isn't a black Z that's an undercover WSP patroling I-5. Cablazn is either lousy at lying, got onto this forum w/out getting his parent's permission and/or just needs more attention than anyone is willingly want to give him. (Haven't figured which one yet) However, WSP does have a black Charger(?), that is a fact.

 

They have silver chargers as well.. I think I saw the crazy swede driving one! no wait... It was Nick Hogan, I guess he didn't make the cut in Formula D.

 

I'm sure they do have chargers and so on. I read a while back, before they were available for purchase that they designed the V8s to steal the crown vic/impalas thunder. The reason they are able to do that is because they come configured for the cops from the factory and don't require expensive modification afterwards. As far as the legacy cop car. I'm surprised the state would be using non-domestic cars. Although, I wouldn't be surprised if the police on Bainbridge Island drove Volvos.

 

In Tri-cities, wa. back in the day they used to use confiscated drug dealers/drug runners cars whatever they may be... Camaro, Honda whatevers.. It got really confusing. I know in Montana during the whatever is reasonable and prudent days they had Vette's to chase you down!
