yea...hopefully this saves the sonics too (i dont want them to move to OK)...hopefully they also pick someone good too (i.e. durant or oden) and dont do something retarded like pick some euro player we've never heard about.

i feel sorry for the celtics...haha they purposely blew the last month and a half (maybe more?) of their season just to get the first pick! sucks for them...they got burned!

theres no way they pick anyone but oden or durant. whoever portland picks the sonics will pick the other. if not that would be worse than sam bowie over michael jordan. not that either one of them will be better than jordan but both were favorites to go 1 and 2 all year. no way anyone's stock rises enough to over take either oden or durant in the draft

i agree...i guess im just annoyed about all these years of horrible picks by the sonics (not all were bad...but sene? cmon! i watch a ton of bball & i didnt even know who he was!)...with the second pick and only two really logical picks (unless they pull of a nice trade) hopefully they dont **** it up!

hmm...i wonder what boston is gonna do now...

edit: btw, +1 on durant! but hopefully its not "Durant is coming to Oklahoma City!"

Durant is a good player. I saw him play at Texas Long Horn and he's good.
Wanna have a franchise player, pick him.

I dont think Oden is that good. Too much hype about him. The guy can't even make jump shot or free throw. He's just another Kwame Brown (from Lakers).

Boston got the shaft!!!! How bout those blazers moving to #1!?!?! Oden will be perfect for that young team and think about all the scorers on the Sonics now!!! It's a shame my Pacers traded away their whole draft this year!!! O well, Lottery Champs '08!!!

So what i'm wondering is, who should we trade lewis for? because that's likely what's going to happen.

T-minus "X" years until the Blazers win the title?

I'm going 5.

And lucky for us Pacer-haters, the 08 lottery should be riddled with also-rands.

I still don't know if one guy can pull an entire team out of the ****t*r, but look at the Bulls in the 90's that was a one man show. Now we just have to keep the team here, you guys know the owner wants to move it right?

This is exactly what Seattle needed, this will bring enough band wagon fans to the forfront to keep the Sonics in town...and if they leave we just convince Paul to bring the Blazers up to Seattle haha

The sonics need Oden. We havn't had a true center in decades. Think about it, Oden (5) Wilcox (4) Lewis (3) Allen (2) Luke (1) Pretty damn good starting lineup. Plus we have some good scorers off the bench like Collison, Wilkins, Watson. We are gonna have an amazing season.

very true...i would love to finally have a good center. i dont kno whats going on with rashard...i hav heard that durant wants to play with rashard. just hope this is enough to keep the team here...

btw, the bulls werent a one man show in the 90's... remember pippen, harper, kukoc, longley, rodman <shudder>, and paxton (he was an incredible 3pt shooter...). also remember jordan avg around 5-6 assists a game (plus his 30-ish ppg). imo, the bulls were not a one man show. kobe's 80pt game is a true one man show! i guess it depends on how u define a one man show...but this is kinda off topic.

Rashard's gone... I guess he is opting out.... I'm sure we're gonna offer him something but let's be realistic. He's gonna go somewhere else with brighter near future instead of Seattle...

I guess that means Durant will be a good fit to fill in that hole.... I personally rather somehow keep Rashard and get Oden but portland is gonna pick him...

Either way, I hope all this is not too late to keep Sonics in Seattle. I hate all Seattle bandwagon fans, they turn on you in a hurry. They don't remember whole entire 90's when we were in playoffs like every year...

I would like to see Oden here...but if we get Durant I'm fine with a Watson, Allen, Durant, Lewis and Wilcox's starting line. Get Petro to be more fit and keep up with an uptempo game, move Swift Sene, Luke for some veterans.

I dont think Lewis is as good as gone, he wants a long term deal, Seattle is the only team that can sign him to a 6 year deal. If they want him they CAN keep him, but Durant can replace him and if we make a move on a big name FA we can replace him with ease.

I guess we still need to worry about GM & head coach situation as well. Sonics got a lot on their mind. I hope only Men's pro championship will stay in town.. Huskies Men's Basketball has been exciting but we still need a pro team. Otherwise I have nothing to watch between Seahawks season and M's season. (I don't watch much Hockey... But I would if we had a team..)

Keep Sonics in WA!!
