^ Are you going to be working on the 767 Tanker or the 787?
The UW is about 25 miles south of Everett in Seattle. Lots of other universities and colleges around, looking to do a graduates? There are programs in Boeing that will pay for them entirely (tuition and books). I'd recommend waiting until you get settled at Boeing first and then take advantage of those programs.

nice - I work in Everett, and that's where BEAC does their autoX events. Some possible areas to consider:
-Mill Creek (5-10 miles away)
-Kirkland (furhter down on the East side I-405 area, but a closer split between Everett and UW)
-Northgate area (south of Everett on I-5...lots closer to UW)
there's lots of housing aroud Everett...the price will just depend on how nice it is; there's some very sketchy areas, and very nice. It'll also depend on how far of a commute you and your wife want. (I'm currently living in the Bellevue area...w/ traffic, my commute can go from 40min to 1.5-2hrs
Working in Everett and wife is going to school at UW? You would want to look in the Shoreline, Edmonds, Mount Lake Terrace, Lynnwood area. The reverese commute to everett is not bad, and the commute to UW wouldn't be very far, although the traffic is HORRID.

Everett has paine field...haven't heard of anyone renting out one of those hangars for use as a car garage. I'll ask around and see what I come up with. If you plan to autoX, the WWSCC series usually runs in Everett, so it'd be just across the freeway.
...just checked w/ a friend that's a pilot - Paine field's hangar's are completley full and require a waiting period to get one + you have to have a plane # to get on the waiting list. He said Renton airport is probably worse than Paine...
good luck!

Renting a garage space w/ friends that all share a serious passion for cars is the way a lot of tuner shops started out. First it starts as a group of friends needing a place to get stuff done to their cars; then it develops into a money making venture.

Welcome to the great Pacific Northwest.
There's a carshow in Auburn this Saturday.

your best bet is Shoreline/Edmonds/Northgate area... its close enough to UW and only 25min to Everett, and 10min to downtown (non rush hr)...
stay away from Greenlake area cuz the traffic sucks there...
