My delay in finding of health issues was after a high speed rollover. Settled, 6 months later went to the dentist, all molars fractured. The only ones that aren't cracked are my front teeth. I've broke, then crowned 5 teeth already. I got nothing for the teeth.
My Doctor friend said, "Allstate, Good Luck"

I hope everything ends up OK at the end of all this with the insurance company!
Could you please avoid making comments like this? Not all Honda owners behave this way. I noticed you make a lot of negative comments to Honda owners. Just because some thieves stole the wheels with Honda jacks doesn't meant they were Honda owners... you don't know where they got them from. Not all Honda owners are theives, and neither are they bad drivers. The cars are affordable daily drivers and 99 percent of the people driving them out there don't have a single care in the world about the Honda import scene... which are the group you seem to hate.

Exactly, I'm a previous "honda driver", does that mean I am a careless driver? So is Alvin. Does driving a Z/G magically make you a better driver overnight?

Back from the doctor's he checked me out throughly. He said I had torn muscles in my lower back. Nothing serious, but it could take up to 6 weeks to heal. He perscribed heat, Ibupropren and a muscle relaxant. Also to minimize heavy lifting involving the abdomen or the back. I'm pretty happy that physically I'll be back to normal in a few weeks w/o having to inconvenience my life much. That was my main concern.

Now.... about my car....

Better get some compensation for pain and suffering as well, even for minor injuries, go to a PT/chiropracter just to be safe. Its usually good for a $2-3k settlement

^ this would require a law suit, correct? I've been discussing this w/ a member of my family that is a lawyer. Depending on how much the insurance company will rule in my favor, it may be a while before I can act on this.

Not always, if you start going to PT/chiropracter on a regular basis on the other insurance's check, they'll be quick to offer you a settlement before you even mention lawsuit. They DON'T want you talking to any lawyer's, because they'll usuallly lowball you the first few times. If you have a lawyer friend though, having them contact the insurance will surely up the settlement amount quickly though

the general rule of thumb is 2-3X all of your medical bills for pain/suffering + they pay all your medical / rental car bills.

*but the insurance companies know this...and they also know that if you get a lawyer, you'll have around 1/3 of it taken --> so they offer you a little less than 2/3's of that total... (that's at least how Progressive does it...when we talked to a lawyer, he said progressive is extremely hard to get a good offer out of them.)

good luck!

To keep things on the up & up w/ legal maters concerning this case; I'd like to discuss legal action off-forum. I'll be discussing some of these maters on w/ you guys on this.

Personally, I don't want to blow this situation out of proportion. One of my own personal gripes is the fact that there is too much sueing going on. But I do want what is right.

On a side note, the Z is a remarkably safe vehicle in a collision. I saw photos of a friend's truck after a 45 mph collison into another vehcile. It was a completely toast. The doors wouldn't open and the steering wheel was pushed in. Both doors still opened on the Z w/ no problems after my collison. The cabin has surprisingly good structural integrity to protect the passengers. In another discussion w/ BA_Cutler, his friend (a fellow Z owner too) was rear ended at a stop light by a full sized truck moving at 40+ mph a year or so ago, he was sandwiched between the truck and another large vehicle infront of him. Most of that energy went into turning his Z into an accordian. But considering the violent collision; his doors still opened up w/o any problems, just like any other day. That 3300+ lbs that a lot of people complain about really pays off where it's most important.

I just recieved a call from the claims adjuster from Allstate. Looks like my car will be totaled. At this time I need to reclaim the salvagable mods. Tommorrow at 3PM-6PM I'll be going down to Bankers Auto Rebuild & Towing in Renton to work on the car (I've recieved permission from the adjuster to do so). If anyone is avalible that can lend me a hand, I'd greatly appreciate it.

My '03 Chrome Silver 350Z...... R.I.P. Gone but not forgotten.

Unfortunately I can't make it to help you, but good luck! Is there any way they'll give you more than 3hrs? That wouldn't be enough time to get everything, would it? Oh, and remember what I said about reinstalling stock stuff.

If you do decide to seek a Chiropractor, you should go see DrVolkl.
