This was posted over on nissanpacific.com and I thought I'd pass it along:

Anyone that was there last year knows it was a good time and a great drive.

I enjoyed the drive, but this time I'd suggest the Z/G guys all stay together at the back of the pack...last time I almost got rear-ended by someone going too fast ; ppl in front of me stopped, and the guy behind me had to go into the oncoming lane to miss hitting me...some of the guys out there get a bit too crazy driving in big packs.
after I almost got hit, I pulled over and let everyone go by...after that, it was a fun drive - mildly fast, but nothing crazy. If I go this year, I'll just stay in the rear...it'll be safer and the front runners can attract all the attention (I was surprised that last time I didn't see any cops)
I just posted this in the thread over on NASIOC when I read 2 comments to the same effect as First350:
It's always a bummer to hear about asshats. I made a point last year, as I did this year, to get the point across that this should be a mellow cruise. I put this in the posts on forums, and reiterated it in-person at the mall parking lot just before we left. I drove in front and set a moderate pace. What else can I do? I'm open to suggestions, and I have one idea so far. This year, I will ask some friends of mine who know the route to space out in the pack and also set good paces. It doesn't really matter how slow the 1st person is going when you are 50 cars back and gaps get formed.
I printed off 100 copies of maps & directions last year and only about 30 of them got taken. I did this specifically so that anybody who got stuck at a light or hit traffic didn't have to play 'catch up' for fear of getting lost. If you think that others are going too fast, slow down! I don't care if anybody thinks that we're driving like grandmothers. They can come back with a small group some other time and rally the sh*t out of the road at their own risk. If it's too fast, somebody could get hurt. I'd rather hear from 50 people b*tching that the drive was too slow, then 5 people say it was too fast.
Also wanted to thank Jay for posting the link over here, but I am going to go ahead and make an 'official' post that I'll keep updated with the latest news and attendee list.

Good to hear! IMO, some people just drive crazy, and other ppl drive crazy b/c there's a big group...those ppl can't really be controlled (or at least it's hard to) b/c they stop thinking and just want to show off... I remember when we all parked last time in the gravel lot - when we were all leaving, someone was taking video of the cars, so lots of ppl we accelrating hard out of the lot - one RX-7 did a burn out of the gravel lot and sprayed all the cars behind him w/ rocks
either way, I'm planning on going again and just taking my own precautions. thanks for organizing this and trying to keep things controlled. (I've never heard of a large group of cars on a drive w/out some ppl getting a bit out of control)
