Default In need of a local car for prototype suspension system

Hi everyone its Ravi, I own Umbrella Auto Design in Everett. I have developed a device that allows you to raise or lower you vehicle at the push of a button 3"-5" while utilizing your existing coilover suspension system. My Patent Pending device will not affect the handling of your vehicle whatsoever as it is all aluminum and your original coilover strut and spring are still in place. I am an NSX owner and my shop focuses primarily on the nsx.

However the device will work on any coilover an any vehicle. we are currently looking to produce a 350z/G35 fitment for our kit.

I am looking for a local(seattle area)test vehicle to develop a kit around and can offer a discounted price of $2700 for a 4 wheel kit for one person.

The kit consists of:

4 flat pneumatic pistons
choice of 2 or 3 gallon aluminum air tank
air pump
electric air valves
DOT approved air line
switches
fittings
wiring kit
pressure switch
all necessary fittings
maunfactured in the USA

In the collapsed state(set ride height) this device will not affect the handling of your vehicle whatsoever as it acts merely as a metal spacer.

When you engage the valves air is sent to the piston and the vehicle can be raised up to 5" to help navigate steep driveways, towtruck beds, speed bumps etc.

Kit details:
Pistons manufactured in the USA from T351 aerospace aluminum
Replaceable urethane seals
High quality Camozzi Air fittings
1600 psi DOT approved air line
Remote capable electric air valves
Complete system weight under 20lbs

works in conjunction with ANY coilover suspension system

Here are a few movies of the system installed on a 1998 nsx:

and a link to the device on my website:

thanks for looking and if anyone has any questions feel free to call me.
my number is 206 229 7856

thanks!

looks cool, would be something I would see on a show car for sure, the ability to slam it for exhibition would be sweet, then raise it up for street driving good job guys!

Hi thanks for the responses. To clarify, you set your lowest desired ride height and that is the deflated"drive around town" setting. when you encounter an obstacle such as a steep drive way or a speed bump you press the switch and air is introduced to the piston to raise the car. once you clear the obstacle you dump the vehicle back to normal ride height. So you never actually drive in the raised state more than the time to get over bumps etc..

On a side note when do you guys meet up? I'd like to check out the cars and bring my nsx for a demo of the suspension setup.

is this only for true coilover setups or will this work on coilovers with a setup like the stock 350z/g35 rear with a seperate spring and shock mount

i'm not from the area but i like that idea. I just have a question. You need a test vehicle and then giving that person a 2700 dollar discounted price? So how much will the product be to the media?

Hi actually the car in the video on youtube is a friend of mine. The nsx on my website(the white one) is mine.

Retail price for the kit is $3000, unsure of what you meant by media price?

This setup is designed to work with a coilover strut. If the stock rear of the 350/G
is a shock with separate spring it is still doable but I need to see the setup on the rear in person.

Guys what coilovers are popular, what do most people use on their cars?

Trying to get one done before hot import nights. BTW install should only take about 4 hrs.

thanks

Very few Z/G setups are true coilovers in the rear, and almost nobody has them, so I won't bother listing them.

Seems like the popular setups are Tein Flex (like I have), Tein Basic, Tein CS, JIC FLT-A2, and Stance. There are plenty of others from companies like Greddy, Tanabe, Apex'i, KSport, D2, Megan Racing, Bilstein, Ohlins, etc...

Do most set ups have a rear setup similar to this one? If so my device will work with no modification and be placed directly above the rear spring.

Let me know what you guys think.

thanks

Yep thats what they look like on mine, I have Apexi N1's. A lot of the newer ones they are making for Z's have the helper springs on the rear struts now.

Also mine have the rear hard mount above the spring but I think most aftermarket coilovers do this except for the Tein basics that I have seen mounted on some cars.

A lab rat?....hardly this system is already fully functional for several other platforms including acura nsx. We need only the shock shaft diameter and a few measurements to build a kit for your platform.
