they've been saying the opposite thing that the bimmers are better and faster, and handle better as well. what drives me crazy is that i posted a comment and the next thing you see there are like 300 people posting back how dumb you car is and stupid you are. the web is bimmerforums.com

I'm friends with lots of people on E46Fanatics and they are mostly hella chill guys. Yeah some have an elitist personality but it doesn't matter when I'm there with a car that will rape 99% of the M3's there.

Maybe Bimmerforums is more full of ******?

I can hook a meet up between Fanatics and My350Z if you want.

Peace

sounds like a plan, i'll take them out the drag strip, and u teach them a thing or 2 on the autoX

i'll email pacific raceways about track rentals once they get there annual schedule up. i tried emailing them about it about a month or so ago, but not response yet, i'm guessing they're not paying attention to anything regarding the drag strip cause its closed now anyway (don't know about the road course)

Most of the Bimmer guys are cool. There are SEVERAL M3 nutriders who wouldn't even really talk to me, but it's cool, nobody wanted to fawk around and race. When it's 350Z vs. M3/335i I believe it's a driver's race.

It's funny because some of the M's are rolling on Volks . . . yet still hatin on Japanese machines.

Good driving should be driver's race even against M3 in the 1/4. Not sure though. Just guessing.

dude if u have the hook up at the track then u call, i'm sure it will go much smoother if u know someone that works there rather just random kid (me) trying to rent out the track

ask general questions like how much is it, now far in advanced does it have to be booked, is there a number of cars min or max (i doubt either, but doesn't hurt to ask), what happens if the reserved day gets rained out or partially rained out, any other logical question u or anybody can think if that i may have missed.

SMG feels retardedly slow. My friend's M3 feels slow with SMG than a stick . . .

DSG on the other hand feels faster than a stick.

Drew looks like the dyno day is rescheduled to January 19th. Try to make it man, I just shreded my rear end so I'm going to work my *** off to put the car back together before then.

Anyways while I'm hurr I want to chip in my .02 on this cars.

My job as a photographer allows me to drive just about everything on the road. I have driven stock versions of both the z/g and e46/335i in every transmission combo they offer.

A stock z has a decent amount of power, not a ton to the point where you can scare yourself but passing and getting to speed limits in never a problem. A stock g seems very slow and boring, especially the 6 speed ones. A stock exhaust z is one of the best engine notes I have ever heard, crazy thing is that its stock!!

The e46 m3 with a 6 shifter is probably somewhere around the same feeling as the stock z. I really dislike the dsg transmission, its is the clunky-est worst shifting automatic I have ever driven! It takes a lot of the fun of the 6 speed car away and is just plain ackward. The six cylinder really feels like it lacks torque until 5k then it screams.

335i is in a completely other league when compared to the g/z or the m3 performance side. The acceleration is actually scary, and then you start thinking about chips and upgrading turbo wastegates and other things. I was doing automatic second gear rolls and I almost forgot I was driving a four door and not a carrera 4s ! This thing really preforms. Brakes are very very good to, I would reccomend a test drive to everyone, the car is really pretty amazing.

DSG is not SMG.

SMG = Bimmer's single clutch (maybe it is dual? I don't remember) technology.

DSG = Audi dual clutch. DSG is stupid fast . . .
