Talking hello northwest

Hey all today is friday jan 4 2008 and i wanted to introduce myself to the PNW. I just drove up from sunny San Diego to gloomy and pooring ran Seattle or Puyallup in my case. I know theirs quite of few members on here that are active in putting meets together and i was wondering when and where. Didnt really see a thread for it..if i missed it i apologize. Hope to get a chance to roll with you all when the weather gets better and if anyone can point me in a super bad *** alarm for the Z. What shops are here that will install for a manual for alittle more thanks again hope to hear from you all
~cheers

Oh man......... San Diego -> Seattle at this time of year? That must've been a shock to the system. I have a buddy that just crossed the Siskiyous coming up from LA yesterday and said it was pretty hairy. and he had a AWD Subie. To make that drive w/ a Z is commendable to say the least!

Welcome to the Pacific Northwest.

Welcome to the PNW.

My first suggestion for you is to get tires that are appropriate for the weather up here at this time of year. The stock tires can be a death trap for anything other than a tiny bit of rain -- and this is the time of year we can get that white, slippery stuff called snow. Run, don't walk, to tirerack.com and get a set of winter wheels and tires, but good all-seasons are all you'll need for tires.

if its snowing, its prolly a better idea not to drive a rwd car

nice! The autoX season should start soon...the 3 main autoX groups are:

1) www.wwscc.org (it's made up of several smaller car clubs, and holds a whole autoX series - they usuaully run up in Everett).

2) http://www.bscc.net/ (they run out at bremerton)
3) http://www.nwr-scca.org/ (SCCA mainly runs down in Packwood, which depending on where you're at, can be a long drive.)

there's more clubs, and track/drag racing stuff too...
