Absolutely, the first words out of my mouth were ... 'good god' ... if my wheels end up looking 1/2 that good I'll be in heaven

thanks guys. they should fit the car WAAAAY better than the gold w/ polished lip. before it was one of 2 sets like that from work, now it is definately a one-off wheel .
hey colin, it would be pretty darn tough to do the same thing to those axis since they don't come apart. but i am really digging the black lip look on any wheel now.

When you say 'tough do the same thing to my wheels', I'm not 100% sure what you mean but as we agreed the pearl gray with polished rims are gonna look sweet !!

Car goes off to the painters tomorrow

i just meant all the different textures i have going on with the works. polished, brushed, gloss black, and satin black. would be a bear to do that to a wheel that didn't come apart. but yes, the pearl gray with polished lips is just one masking process, and one polishing process, so pretty easy.

already cut the lip. i have about 1/8th-3/16" left that maybe i can grind off if needed. if that still doesn't work, i have a porta-power (pump actuated hydralics) that i can puff the fenders a touch. or, buy a set of the nismo flares.
since they are 11" wide and offset of +25, that is equal to a +12 10.5" wide wheel!! it will be close, but i will make it work

I assume you painted the doors off of the car. At least the blue portion of the painting.

car was nearly entirely stripped. entire front end, doors, hatch, and some of the glass too. engine bay is painted also, but just a satin black, same under the hood and wheel wells. engine was out for a rebuild too. this thing had to go back together and then apart again 3 times for doing the flame graphics. also, to make sure all the panels matched seeing as everything was painted off the car. yes, i did goof on a couple panels and had to make them darker, lol.

Sweet!!! can we get a side low profile pic? You like the tail lights the way they are or do you think some dark overlays would fit the darker theme? Either way, nice work. I bet your car is fast. Dyno numbers?
