I recently had my hood damaged and i can get a free replacement. Should i get a new Carbon Fiber hood or stay stock? Its for an 07. Any throughts on this im still debating on what i should do.
Basically it would have to be a replacement for my hood. My hood has a nice hole in it and insurance will cover a new one. Either i get the stock hood or i can get any CF hood and have some money left over.
If you like the look of CF, or need the extra cooling from the vents then fine. Don't pretend its for weight reduction though
I 100% agree, like I stated in my other thread, there is exactly a 5lb reduction going from stock G hood to Seibon CF TS, shit I've lost 30lbs on my diet so far which is a way better saving
No theres no real weight savings on hoods for our cars. Its more of the look. It would be stock looking but all CF.
I disagree, the Mastergrade venom hood is VERY light. Anyone who had picked one up was amazed. One customer said it saved 7-8lbs over stock. Not to mention the cooling that those large vents do on hot track days.

hmm, spend $700 on a hood, or $700 on suspension parts and diet for a week with same results in weight, but car can now handle better.
