Default state patrol is everywhere........

i was coming home today, and i was stunned to see 7 state patrol cruisers on I5. each one of them had pulled over a car and was sternly writing a ticket. This was within one exit distance. exit 175 I5 going north is just infested. there is an overpass, and they hide under it. but today i was amazed. they were 7 cop cars. this is just ridiculous. so far i have seen 2 -3 maximum , but 7 cop cars.

This has been going on since the beginning of the year... I seen a Renton cop car pulling over someone in Puyallup.. I've also been seeing other city patrols in different cities... transportation is trying to make alot of money...

Speed trap on a sunny day. I've seen ones like that many times. The most I've seen were right around exit 182 on I-5, and around exit 147 on I-5.

Ahhh... so that's where they were! I travel almost the whole length of 405 for my commute and yesterday I didn't see a single WSP the entire drive home. I thought it was kinda odd since usually I see at least 2 WSPs writing tickets every day on the drive home. I gotta say, traffic flowed very nicely yesterday, better than it normally does. I wonder if there's a connection?

Dudes, they were definitely out in force today even on 405. I saw four between Totem Lake and I-90, and then another bike on the bridge!

Going to original post there are almost always cops between exit 174 and 175 on I-5 north under the overpass (at least the last 12 years I lived in Seattle). 7 seems a bit too many but it's not out of ordinary to see 3-4.

They follow the WSP spotter airplane like a bunch of dogs, they now a multiple target tracking system and 2 airplanes. It's some type of big ticket event.

I commute to seattle from Lynnwood everyday and the spot you are talking about is allways full of WSP. That spot underneath/next to 145th is infested by WSP. I drive by there south bound around 11:30am and see at least one almost everyday!! I saw two today and 5 yesterday (two givin tickets and 3 loitering) Be carefull people!!

They most often can be found in areas where the road conditions, and the natural flow of traffic, far exceed the posted speed limit. Accident rates for these areas are also lower than average, thanks to the better than average road conditions. (I.e. long flat straights through open areas with multiple lanes and miles of visibility in every direction, or a section in a town that briefly and inexplicably has a -poorly marked- posted speed limit 10MPH lower than the same road leading into and out of it.)

I call them "Ticket parties."

So I'm guessing trying to catch people speeding is a bad thing?
