Default Vortech Installed..

sup guys.. i jus got my vortech installed last night.. however my installer didnt have time to tune it.. so he jus got it to where its driveable.. but i am not able to WOT right now... i can get up to about 4k and the fuel jus kinda cuts off and doesnt do anything.. i am trying to get my car tuned ASAP.. i been calling around all day for a tuner and im not really sure who to go with.. i talked to carb connections, world one, kito autosports, axium motorsports, drift office and they all seem somewhat booked, but they said they can get me in sometime this week.. i am running the UTEC, where should take my car?? is it necesaryy for dyno tuning or is road tuning just fine?? also i plan on getting gauges.. but im not sure what brand to go with.. i think imma get A/f wideband, Boost and EGT.. i was gonna get DEFI but they dont make A/F and i dont want to get different looking gauges..so now its either Autometer or AEM.. let me know what you guys think... ill post some pictures soon.. its a nice *** day today.. thanks

I've heard bad things about Kito and Carb Conn when it comes to tuning VQ's. I can't remember from who, but it was b/c of the type of EMU they were running. If you can afford it, go with the Autometer Nexus line. Those are really nice.

Charlie....seriously...what are you doing? Why are you even driving the car? Your wheel is cracked all the way through. Crazy. Also, do NOT go WOT until the car is fully tuned....unless you want to blow your motor. In fact, you should try to stay out of boost entirely.

This is your wheel. Just b/c you've been driving on it unknowingly doesn't mean it's ok.

I went over there while they were doing the install. Had to get your UTEC all setup, and all the programs working on Cam's laptop. Copied one of my tunes onto your UTEC as a base map that Cam went off of. I'm the one that saw the cracked wheel.

Wow. One more crack in that wheel and it's off your car.

I agree with Triple, don't run your car if it isn't tuned. I wouldn't even go to 4k RPM.

KITO autosports tuner = DOM = charges me for dyno time while reading my HKS EVC manual.

Carb Conn = Thinks they are too good for their customers it seems..never returned any of my phone calls when I was looking to get my turbos installed... glad I did it myself, they quoted like 4k for the install :P

EDIT!!!: Trent tuned your car eh? Hes a pretty good guy and seems to do good work
