STIs and Bellevue
So, i saw a silver STi the other day must have been an 05 maybe a newer one. The driver looked to be 70. White hair. Hands at 10 and 2. I lol'd. Saw my first 08 STI hatch/wagon thingy. This driver was young though, probably in his mid 60s. White hair. Car full of old people. Seriously, WTF?!?!?!?!?
Tell you the truth, the younger generation will be saying the same thing about me when I hit that age. Kinda funny considering I used to say the same thing about the old people and performance cars back in the day.
I don't think I would ever lay off the performance cars.

hey believe it or not, but on saturday i went to subaru dealership in north seattle and looked at an 2008 sti. it is completely changed, i kinda like it. however, what made my day was a couple in their mid 30s' that was looking at one. they commented that the STI they were looking at just needed a bike rack.
I'm just 42 with gray hair, and I've had sports car since my first Corvette at 18 years old.
I'll always own some sort of performance/sports car until they take my license away.
There was a guy that use to race at Woodburn Drag Strip every Sunday till he died a few years back at almost 90 years old.
He was respected by every racer there; and he earned it.
Age is all in the mind.

Oh man... if you ever see a white lightly modified '05 STi w/ a blue racing stripe on the hood, no wing ('cept for something like a little plastic strip stacked on washers), Tire Rack logo on the front window and Dependable Tire decals; take a close look at the driver. He's a tall thin dude w/ a white beard in his 60's (First350 and PDX_Racer know who I'm talk'n about). He'll give anyone on this board a run for their money. You see the car from the outside and you'd think to yourself; "punk ricer kid", but when it comes to racing, the guy inside even at his vintaged age is better than 99% of the guys that drive STi's out there.

I wonder if the WRX's and STi's are catching on with the "older" crowd because of their long love for Subarus? Especially in the NW. Think of all the Legacy/Outback/Forester variations you've seen out there over the years.
10 and 2 is correct. Hands at 9 and 3 is for airbag cars, if your hand is at 12 when the airbag goes off you will break your own face with the back of your hand.
Watch out for old men in Z cars, I'm 42.
