Default oil consumption test

quick question guys...

for those of us with 06 models, are we suppose to get our Oil Consumption test diagnosed before the 3yr/36,000mi point? or is it longer since its considered 'powertrain'? i'm at 34,000mi right now...

some things i've noticed after being here for a month:

- down here in SoCal, people drive like maniacs... i was doing 80 on the slowest lane and was still getting passed by guys doing 110+ and cops dont bother them
- Nissan service dept here have excellent service, not like the BS up in Seattle
- Z's are ubiquitous here.... I see an average of 3-6 Z's every time I take a trip in my car (regardless of length)
- must come to a complete stop a an intersection turning right... (I got a ticket the first week I moved here; fine is $400)

Somehow I haven't paid much attention to the oil consumption issue. Maybe I should look into this. 30k miles but I have no reason to believe it is eating a lot of oil. Now I'm paranoid.
