I did manage to retrieve my license plate and ziptie it to the frame... never thought a 350Z could look like a ghetto POS, but I suppose time makes fools of us all.

You should go and get checked out by a doctor or chiro at least. If you're not feeling it by now you're probably OK but if something pops up later you may need some documentation to refer back to if you need to file a claim against the other driver's insurance. Don't tell them anything about your physical condition until you get checked out!

[QUOTE=jjaujou]Heading across 520 into Seattle this morning around 8:40 and traffic was slowing to a stop pretty quickly around the Montlake exit. I slowed down and stopped just fine, but the Chevy Silverado behind me didn't so much as kiss his brakes until about the last 25 feet to my motionless bumper. This is what a 40MPH rear impact looks like.

Ouch Jason!!! I'm glad you're ok........I guess you're lucky he didn't run over the top of you!!

haha, by the end of this, we'll all be wearing gold plated diapers!

The dealio is pretty lame, really. I feel fine, so I'm not gonna do the shady medical thing. Sorry Drew, no pills for you!

As far as the car goes... hoooo boy. $11K in damage! I asked Jennifer @ Geico for a detailed breakdown of the damages and costs, so hopefully she'll get back to me soon. I know that the parts they ordered won't arrive until Friday, and they expect repairs to be done sometime around the 30th or so, give or take a few days depending on what I nitpick the hell out of when they call me over.

In the meantime, I'm driving a Mazda 6 and I absolutely hate it! The ***** waddles like a duck and has 0% *****. I'm sure that I'm probably driving the basest of the base models, and if it had a sport suspension package, bigger brakes, and a few more squirrels under the hood it might be more fun... it's probably got like a 2.0 liter V6. :-P I'm probably going to take it in and trade it for something else. If I'm gonna drive a gutless car, it might as well be light weight!
