I passed him last week on 99 in Lynnwood by my work. It definitly caught my attention as it looks to be pretty well built up. I think that I saw a full rollcage in it, and by the looks of some of the SCCA stickers that I saw my first thought was that someone took their "racecar" out for a cruise.
Not to knock the guy's ride cause it's obviously quite a nice project, but painting a Nissan in famous Ford colors strikes me as ... wrong. Not bad wrong, but just strange.
Fellas i believe the car in question was for sale recently on craiglist. Its not even street legal. Sounds like GULF colors. Baby blue with orange. It was for something like $21 grand and had few hours on it. I would have loved to snag it because it was a screaming deal but i wouldn't have any place to store it.
There is a guy here in AZ that just sold one exactly like that for about $21k. He has a full cage, the same color scheme, etc. It used to be white and he raced it in SCCA. Now he sold it and got 2 carts to race. I'm not sure if the sale was to someone up there or not, but this sounds like that could be the case.
I actually know the guy. Next time I see him, I'll ask where the new owner lives.

ya i remember this ... there are a few pics on the az forums... maybe one on az350z but for sure a few on westsidezmeet
I don't know the new owner, but the previous owner is cool. He decided to buy 2 carts (1 for him and 1 for a nephew) to race instead. He offered the car to me first, but I was already neck deep in my project.
