Yup. I think it's $100 or $110 shipped.

I bought the carbon fiber ones from there, and it was about $140 shipped. But I had them in less than a week!

Why do those cost more? It's just a cheesy fake CF print isn't it?

hey colin, if you want to save a few bucks and just make your own bracket (which is a breeze) i followed this guys part numbers and went this route https://my350z.com/forum/showthread....ht=hood+shocks

the hood opens to nearly the max. limit. i can almost pull the engine out and not remove the hood. kinda nice when you need to do some wrenching.

I've never seen that DIY before. Nice! Thing is, will those exact same parts (damper & ball studs) work on the G35? Hood damper kits from NRG & Tein have separate part #'s for the Z vs. the G.

not 100% sure. you could measure the distances though compared to a Z.

Nah. It's a great writeup and would be an interesting DIY, but for just $40-50 more I'd just go with the NRG ones. I'm guessing Colin is thinking along the same lines too.

i started hearing about the different kits that you have to cut the battery and brake covers, and wasn't sure about the nrg one at the time i did mine. but ya, for that little amount more, it is kind of a toss up as long as you don't have to cut the covers.

No, you still have to cut the cover in the same spot as the DIY. You also have to bend the metal underneath just a bit. Sounds like it's still a quick install, and you don't have to bother sourcing parts.

I'm not really a DIY kind of guy ... but the write up was awesome ...

Although, I'm sure I would do more if I had a proper garage.
