Default Just got stung by four bees.

Or yellowjackets. Whatever. The little #u@&er$ got me good.

So. My first bee sting. Times FOUR. Guess I stepped on 'em. Flew down my shirt, up my pants... not good.

Yes, I can breathe. But holy crud, this hurts. I've got bigger-than-golf-ball size red splotches, and they're pretty swollen. The splotches have these little satellite sort of splotches coming off them. Very nice.

I've tried the old baking soda trick, the lemon juice trick, the Benadryl trick. So far the only thing that's happened is that the Benadryl is making me verrrrrrry sleepy. Next is the calamine lotion trick. I think.

Just talked to the GHC consulting nurse. He said they've been getting a LOT of these calls lately. So watch where you step.

Tell me your home remedies, and I'll try 'em.

Four wasps ouch. I got stung in the neck a few weeks ago by a small wasp. I smacked him off, he hit the ground and I squashed the crap out of him LOL.

ear wax helps some people, i remember when i was a kid, one of my friends go stun in the lip, and it was huge within minutes, then he went home and his mom told him to put some earwax on it, and the swelling went down within a couple hours

Update:

Just got back from Frite Aid, where the pharmacist said that calamine lotion wouldn't do squat, but that Benadryl cream would help. I told her I was already taking Benadryl, and she said it was ok to do the cream also. So I did, and THEN I read the box... and it says NOT to double up. So I assume that in another half hour I'll be very much a zombie. Oh, and she said I could take more Benadryl tablets at bedtime. Perhaps i should combine this with alcohol.

Thanks for all the replies.

That sux. I was playing in a golf tournament once and went to take a drink out of my coke can when I felt something in my mouth. It was two bees that had gotten in the can, and they both stung me in the roof of my mouth. It was an awful feeling, but somehow I birdied the next hole....

Seeing as how I'm a girl... well, anyway, I'm glad I didn't get stung There. Actually one of the stings is pretty close.

I had a wasp get inside my motorcycle helmet once. That was scary.

Better this morning, but yowch. Slept pretty well, with all that Benadryl.

My mom used to rub either a wedge of potato or maybe it was an onion on my bee stings as a kid. Either the starch in the potato or the acid in the onion soothed the stings almost immediately.

Really hot water can help speedup the breakdown of most toxins.

The last time I got stung was like 3 years ago....Did the old lighter and WD-40trick to the hive. One of the flamming bastards got me in the neck while I was running away screaming like a little girl. I hate bees
