Sanderson Field, Shelton
Today I found myself in a rare situation. I was finalizing the paper work for the rental of Sanderson Field for an event tomorrow. At the end of the day I found myself w/ the sole access to a 200 ft x 2000+ ft peice of closed off airport runway... w/ my Z... on a clear dry day... and about an hour and a half to before the equipment truck arrived. What to do?... What to do?
Would've been pretty obvious if I attempted to do my own version of a Top Gear test drive so I opt to take photos instead. It's hard to convey how big this section of runway is (and how tempting) in cell phone images but here's what I got.
Diving onto the Field from the access road:

In the distance there is a twin engine turbo prop plane:

X marks the Z.
