If you don't mind the drive to Kent, Intec Racing is an authorized dealer/tuner for UpRev (Osiris). Haven't personally had my car tuned there but I've heard great things regarding UpRev and Osiris. Doesn't hurt to check it out.

No, that's the RevUp engine on the 06 that you're thinking about. UpRev makes the Osiris tuning program; very versatile and it comes with Cipher included. I believe Intec charges around $7-$750 for the tune w/cipher which includes 5 seperate map settings. Definitely worth the money IMHO. You can look them up on intecracing.com; also info on UpRev at uprev.com.

How much did Intec quote you?

My friend is an ASE certified Master Tech. Just on VQ's alone, he's installed a Stillen S/C on 2 G35's, a Vortech S/C on 2 G35's and 1 350Z. He's tuned with UTEC, both on the dyno and street on a couple of those cars as well (including mine). In fact, he's going to be tuning another local member's UTEC this week or next. Very good pricing for his time, too. Just shoot me a PM if you're interested.

go with technosquare. That's what i have on mine and love it. The only problem is that you would not be able to drive your car for couple of days. Uprev is good, but if you have more mods, then the regular Joe. Technosquare charges you $150 every time you want to re-tune the car. 550 bucks for a good tune. I dont know what they quoted you in intec, but either way, you are looking at fairly steep prices everywhere

UTEC is a piggy back system.. it's also very limited in its function when compared to the Osiris. Plus, Osiris is specifically designed for Nissans (as evident by their use of Cipher). Best way to go is UpRev. Especially since you're planning on going FI in the future, having Osiris now will make tuning in the future MUCH easier and cost efficient. It costs more now but I think it's the right way to go. I'm definitely going the Osiris route once I put in my cams and gears.

+1 can't go wrong with technosquare either except for the aformentioned problem of your car being out of commission while they have your ECU. I think Osiris has a few more "goodies" that technosquare can't offer as well...

It doesn't really ... all these units mentioned are all great. It's just that Osiris offers so much more versatility and it's designed specifically for Nissan. Plus if you have any problems, you can just drive to the tuner and talk to someone face to face since they're local... just my 2 cents.

The Osiris software is more advanced and has features neither Cobb nor Technasquare offer.

The cruise control buttons are for changing throught the different maps on the Osiris.

Plus I read that you can take readings on your laptop while connected to the car and then e-mail it to UpRev, they can tweak the settings and then e-mail it back to you and you can re-flash the ECU yourself.

just get either cobb or technosquare. Cobb's being good for having couple of maps and being able to change them.

Trust me......you can go wrong with Technosquare the same as any other tuner out there, especially if you have larger fuel injectors that require scaling.

Technosquare

Osiris

You seem to be running NA so Techno may work for your bolt-ons but I wouldn't count on their reflash if you decide to go with FI down the road.

IMO you're better off finding a tuner who can fine tune your car (or learning to tune yourself) as each vehicle represents a somewhat unique set of variables. Research the tuning / FI forums and get input from the guys themselves.

+1 for the Techno turnaround time being a PITA.

Been happy with my Invidia TP's but let us know which ones you go with and how they sound.

he has simple bolt ons. I agree that techno is not the best for FI, but it is a good tune. I much rather have a standalone if i were you
