Default 30K service

Anyone know of a reputable place, that's sensibly priced, to get a 30K service in the Everett / Marysville area. This service replaces the belts.

Thanks in advance

I think you only need to replace your belts when they show signs of being worn. I think belts can last much longer than 30k miles. Let me know how much your service cost I'm at 40k now.

Service manual says to replace belts at 30K. Just spoke with Performance Nissan and they say the belts willl only be replaced if needed (strange!). They want $450, and that's not including the belt change

Someone must know somewhere more sensible than that!

check out Z sport in north Everett. http://www.zsport.com/

I think their tuning options are pretty lame but they are pretty good for maintenance.

I'd get a quote from VTR in Everett too. Their level of service is pretty killer. http://www.vtrweb.com/

Waiting for the Ed Hardy ASE cert. cut and paste..

Does it have to be done by a Dealership? There is a great shop in Kirkland called Kelleys Automotive, they do all my services for me and they stand behind everything.

I don't think he's looking for a dealership to do it after having his prior quote. : )

Are you looking to have JUST the belts done or do you want/need the full 30k service? Belts can be had for ~$40 and they take about 30 min to put in.

Yup. My friend, an ASE certified master tech, has done several maintenances on G35's as sidejobs, a couple 30K and I think a 60K. Can't remember who they all were, but one of them was Vasiliy's wife. From what I remember it cost 1/2 or 1/3 of what Infiniti of Kirkland was charging.

Depending on what you want done and your time frame, I can fit you in. I am a ASE Master Tech and work at a large dealership. I also own a G35 and have done couple large services for some local 350z drivers. Major services dont typically include the serpentine belt BUT the majority of time I have seen them cracked as early as 25k on G's and Z's. That is not to say it will break, but it is recommended to be replaced. Let me know if I can be of any assistance.

This is why I just pre-purchased all the scheduled maintenance and had it included in my monthly payment to Nissan... out of sight, out of mind.

Does anyone know what they do for a 30k service? If it's replacing parts, why not DIY?

Default 30k service update

Performance Nissan in Everett wanted ~$450 (before taxes)
Kellys Automotive in Kirkland wanted ~$325 (before taxes)
Z sport in Everett gave the best quote and seemed to have good reviews so I took my business there.

They said that the only things that HAD to be completed were: oil and filter change, and they would check everything on the service list for serviceability.

However, I also wanted a coolant flush (which is part of the handbook service list) and brake fluid change (these have never been done on the car) and also the E-brake adjusted. Total price INCLUDING taxes $299.

The only other thing wrong with the car was the rear wiper blade was starting to split (something I can manage myself).

Although still a lot of money for things that you can do yourself, I don't have the time or equipment to do it. I'm very pleased with the workmanship and level of service thus far.

Thanks Entaille!
