Z drift crash evergreen info?

wondering if the owner is on here, just wondering if he got vid, and what happened, i assume possible understeer into the wall, but could be wrong. Curious as to what mods, suspension? thoughts on the z drifting at that track? I give you props for being out there sucks about the car though.
came off the bank, let off the gas, car straightened-he applied gas-car whipped left and 180*d into the bank front end first iirc
arms are bent, wheels are bent/broken, car is crumpled - it's totaled

any info on mods? did he have stock vlsd or aftermarket? also, i assume that since he is at a track he will not got any type of compensation from the insurance company, right?

Is that the older gentleman that drifts? He is from Port Orchard I think, if it is him (can't remember his name) that sucks, he was a cool dude. HATED1 I think he was rocking the base coupe no LSD but he may have upgraded since last year.

no it has some kind of lsd, or else it wouldn't drift. it was off a right banked turn transitioning to flat straight. afaik it was only a few mods like intake and exhaust, i was going to talk to him about osiris the day of the crash..
pretty certain it's totaled, from the pics it doesn't look bad, but he went into that wall at at least 40mph. he's the older guy you see in the pic wearing the blue shirt, he's the dad to the guy who organizes all of the local drift events (also in the pic on the right). he brought it out quite a bit last year, but this was his first event for 09.. he was the last run of the night too, and right before it happened i was thinking how nice it was to have an event with no one wrecking their cars..

i saw that guy out there last year... talked to him a little bit... he did have an aftermarket lsd setup... but he was all stock suspension ... im sorry to see this pic but with how much he had to fight with the car to keep it sideways im sort of not surprised to see this...
i do think his car was stock aside from the lsd... he was asking me about my exhaust last year though so it wouldnt suprise me if he had exhaust now

"fight with the car to keep it sideways" how do you come to that conclusion?, not trying to be an ***, just trying to understand the characteristics of a stock suspension with an aftermarket lsd as this is what i will be running at my first event with the 350.
stock suspension sucks. i've driven quite a few different cars this year, some with coils, some with springs, some with stock. anything but coilovers SUCKS.
here's me driving my buddies car at the last event, tein springs/tokico shocks, welded diff, stock dual cam, and tie rods. now it's a vid of a good run, but you can see how much the car rocks, sways, and bounces everywhere. it was really sketchy going into the bank with that setup, and in general it's pretty easy to get kinda crazy coming off it

whenever i talk to someone about getting into drifting, I always say first parts are coilovers and a LSD. from there you get seat and steering wheel, and then onto the rest of the suspension and engine mods.

lots of overstear understear issues.... constant whipping the wheel back and forth ... it was basically alot more work to get the car sideways w/ alot less control
well, it is relevent. yes, Z has more power, and being less than 20 years old it has better working stock suspension, but the idea still applies. stock suspension is not meant for heavy track abuse.
i got to drive a Z and do a little "fun" drifting and the stock suspension wasn't bad, but I could definitely see A LOT of improvement with coils. short wheel base also makes it more twitchy to drift with, something coilovers would help with.

thanks for the info guys, i've drifted for a couple years with my s13 but was specifically questioning the z chasis, i have come to the conclusion that like everything else everyone has a difference in opinion, oh well i'll find out at Bremerton on July 7, anyone rolling down, lemme know!
