>>>>>>>>>>>>>CARS AT PGP (kart track) August 24th<<<<<<<<<<<<<
^ Drew you're too generous for offering. Thanks alot. You should come out to this event. I'd like to see a Z put there w/ the fastest of the S2K's and Lotuses (Lotusi?). Seems as though PGP's track lends itself well to a Z.
No worries 'bout the tires guys, I'll figure something out. It would be nice to see more Z's out there. The fact the Slavik and I could run the times we did incomparison to boosted S2k's, heavily tuned suspensions and/or cars running on R-comps w/ good drivers is interesting considering we're just a couple of cheap mods from being stock. Being more gokart is definately an advantage there, but unlike autoX there are atleast 3 sections where power and torque seems to make a difference, that's more than you would find at any autoX. First350's old Z would have been shockingly fast at PGP.

^not to mention, the only s2k's that were faster than us were on dunlop starspec tires, better than noel's and waaaay better than mine...
and yeah, about peter's old car, 295/315 hoosiers would prolly help just a little... lol... and lsd... and JIC coilovers...

imo, a rwd car will be much more fun than a fwd, even my sister's sti (awd) understeer's without mercy. its a really tight course, imo balance of a rwd car is better...
then again, i couldn't keep up with an ms3 that was there... but he was on hoosier's... and a better driver, and only about a sec or 2 per lap quicker...

What type of times were you getting in the clockwise direction? Was 3rd gear a better option in the front straight when running counter clockwise? What was the fast time of the day? Did they mention anything about when the next event will be?

i was running 1:20-1:21 clockwise, some people ran a fit faster, some slowed down, some stayed the same. most people didn't like it clockwise, including me. it doens't really flow well. they switched back to counter clockwise for the afternoon.
3rd gear didn't work for me, although if someone can pull it off well it can work. thing just start happening to fast for me and i missjudged the braking point, then i ease off the brakes, then i'm coming in to fast, and it all turns into a whole mess. i only tried it twice though, with enough practice i think it can be worth something if you can get everything sorted out and work out a rhythm...
chris said the next one will prolly be in 3 weeks, maybe 2. he said he'd prolly send out emails tomorrow about the next date.
