SOOOO
my car is my daily driver. i dont track my car or anything.
but i do want wat is better..
SUSPENSION!
Option #1 Dspecs w/ tanabe gf springs
Option #2 H&R cup kit coilovers
both give me the desired drop i am looking for.
but was wondering what would be better in handling, ride, quality, and durability.
i heard alot.. go with a good spring and shock combo rather then a entry level cheap coilovers?
sooo POLL TIME!
thanks

get coilovers. Do not get these springs/shocks combos. I think that the ideal suspension comes from a good reputable manufacturer such as H&R etc. the combos ppl make of shocks and springs are sometimes humorous. Just get something that has been designed to work in conjunction.

why? Many spring/shock combos will run laps around some of the low end coilover setups available for the z. If you don't need height adjustability, then a set of RSR Z springs and tokico d-specs would be a better setup than the H&R IMO, which are progressive and with unknown springrates.
H&R did their development work originally with my car. I wouldn't run their product on a 350Z!
Springs with Koni's is my suggestion
Only good coil-over I've seen was the KW V3, but too hard to set up for average folks. The cost of a good corner weight alignment is $200+ to go with a coil-over set up and EVERY time you mess with the ride height = alignment.
FOR SALE $100 with use of tool and instruction!!!
My RS*R springs are for sale and out of the car.
I am now running Hotchkis springs.
RS*R springs were a little choppy riding for an "old man"

also would these work well with stock strust? anyone?
cause i got some GF springs laying around.. but havnt bought the dspec strust yet..
but if these RS*R srping work well with the stock strust.. then no need to buy dspecs! yay! lol seems like the rates are almost same with stock springs
I vote for the dspec and of you could just get the dspec springs too. They're a great combo and the springs are paired for those shocks. It was a great drop for me. Scott has then on hia roadster so you can see how low it drops which I think is perfect!

maybe dis will halp joo?
clicky
clickydamn hard finding some reviews on the h&r coilovers.
if it has the same ride as stock. or little stiffer i like..
im sure it handles better then stock.
annd noise free would be great.
but the main plus for coilovers for me is that i can have the height of the car exactly where i want it.... RIGHT about the tires... no tuck but RIGHT about it lol
Well, if you have GF210 springs "laying" around, then put those on! They offer a good decent drop for DD, plus since you are kitted with the Vertex kit so it will look lower.. The GF210's will work on stock struts/shocks since you don't track the car, don't even bother buying shock/struts till your OEM ones actually go out. Trust me the GF210's once they settle in it will give you a good drop, and barely any wheel gap.
I have NF210's on my car, stock struts/shocks and I like it. I barely scrape on speed bumps, but I try and be careful.... And the just running GF210's will give you the drop you want, no tuck.
Like you said, you don't track the car so why even bother worrying about the best handling? The GF210's itself will handle good enough for a Daily driver.

I've had my NF210's on my car for over a year and they're still fine?
As long as you're a smart driver I'm sure your oem struts will last a while before they wear out. What year is your car and how many miles?

its a 2004 with 35k miles on it.
i think i should replace my strust if i choose to go with the spring and strut combo.
i just thought it might handle a little better with the h&r coils. but maybe not.?
also i can make my drop just perfect.. if ya know what i mean.
